Chapter 363 A Discussion

It was almost May, so the weather in Yaleview was getting sunny.

With the comfortable and bright golden morning sun hanging in the sky, the morning breeze was to die for.

The flight Simon, Lesley, and Elijah were on was arriving at nine that morning.

Hence, Jonathan borrowed a military jeep from Mabel and went to the international airport to fetch them.

Upon arriving at the airport, Simon and the others saw Jonathan right away.

As usual, Simon was wearing a black shirt and an icy expression. He had always been an uptight person.

As for Elijah, he hugged Jonathan and said, “I missed you, Jonathan! Simon and Lesley are boring as hell. They know

Simon and Lesley couldn't hold back their laughter when they heard those words.

Before they got into the car, Simon ordered, “You're driving, Elijah.”

something. However, he never dared to do the same to Simon.”

Hearing that, Elijah rolled his eyes and said, “Don't talk badly about me in front of Jonathan, Lesley.”

Lesley laughed out loud in response.

They all then got into the car while Elijah drove.

Jonathan could tell that the trio was closer to each other than before, and their relationship was harmonious.

“That's surely the case. Since you've decided to do that, we'll stick together and get it done,” Simon said.

Jonathan was so moved that his eyes were brimming with tears. With his head lowered, he said, “Thank you, Simon,

Lesley, and Elijah. I know I shouldn't be saying this, but I know I've been selfish with you guys. I'm always asking for

things, and I've never repaid you guys once.”

Obviously, Jonathan was getting emotional. Elijah was the first to voice his awkwardness. With a chuckle, he said,

“Stop it, Jonathan. We're like brothers!”

Those words warmed Jonathan's heart.

“That's right, Jonathan. Don't worry about it,” Lesley said.

“Why did you say something you knew you shouldn't have said?” Simon asked in a flat tone.

“There's something I haven't told anyone. However, I'm going to tell you guys today,” Jonathan uttered.

Simon was slightly surprised to hear that. “What is it?”

“When Edward became a master in the Divine Realm, Master Richard was worried that Edward was going to take

revenge on me. Hence, Master Richard gave me the Longevity Pill, and I offered it to Edward.” Jonathan would

remember what happened that day for the rest of his life because that was the most humiliating day he had ever

had.

Jonathan wouldn't tell Mabel, Beatrix, Catherine, or Jennifer about it because they were all women.

Jonathan was only willing to reveal what had happened because Simon and the others were like brothers to him.

“That day, Edward rejected the Longevity Pill and said I was bribing a master. Since he was in charge of disciplinary

matters in the Divine Realm, he targeted me. At that moment, my life was in Edward's hands,” Jonathan revealed.

As he spoke, pain flashed across his eyes.

Simon and the others were strangely quiet.

Jonathan then added, “Edward gave me two options. The first option was to let him kill me there and then, while the

second option was to beg him for mercy. I hesitated for a long time. I actually thought about taking the first option.

However, I couldn't bear to do it. I wasn't afraid of death. It's just that I wanted to kill Edward myself in the future.

Therefore, I chose the second option!”

Lesley and Elijah were seeing red as well.

burden.”

“That's silly! Since the three of us are the Chosen Ones, what makes you think we can't support you? You should just

sit back and enjoy the ride!” Lesley laughed.

Elijah chuckled and replied, “That sounds great!” He then paused and continued, “However, I heard that only one of

the Chosen Ones will live. Will you guys—”

“No!” Simon interrupted. He then swept a glance at Jonathan and Lesley. “I don't mind dying, but our relationship

will live on forever. I've never been one to share my feelings, but since I consider you guys as my brothers, I'll never

let you guys down!”

Upon hearing those words, Jonathan, Lesley, and Elijah exchanged glances and nodded in unison.

With that, Simon uttered, “Carry on, Jonathan.”

“Got it!” Jonathan paused briefly before saying, “Prior to this, I've already done my research. Edward built his base

in Norham, while Jose established his military academy in Saspiuburg. These two locations have one thing in

common. They are both located in small countries that are chaotic and have unstable regimes.”

Elijah couldn't help but ask curiously, “Why did they choose smaller countries?”

“In those places, they can build their own troops and gain control over the local authorities,” Lesley answered.

“Yet, the Divine Realm was established in Lostaria. Everyone knows how developed Lostaria is,” Elijah said.

“The Divine Realm was established in Lostaria because it's strong enough to intimidate the Anglandur government,”

Jonathan explained.

“What are we considered as, then?” Elijah questioned.

“Edward and Jose started off early, so they're now already strong enough to have control over their respective

locations. If we were to build a base somewhere far away, it would be difficult for us to overcome the local forces.

Therefore, I think we should build our base in a prosperous and stable country,” Jonathan said.

“However, there will always be someone stronger than us. What if the government in the targeted country doesn't

allow us to build a base in their territory? After all, we're still not as mighty as the Divine Realm,” Lesley uttered.
