Chapter 426 Staying Warm In The Snow
Jonathan crashed into the snow with a loud thud. Fortunately for him, the snow was thick enough to cushion his fall,
so he did not sustain any serious injuries. Even so, the fall still left him feeling a little dazed.
After taking a moment to sit up straight, Jonathan tried to recall what happened.
I jumped into this vortex with Mabel and the others, so it's definitely a passageway that leads to another
dimensional space. That means we're now in another dimensional space. What is this place, though? It's so freaking
cold here!
The weather in Eastsummer was really warm at the time, so most of its people wore clothes with short sleeves.
Jonathan had on a bright yellow robe because of his status as King of Gulden Vampir, but Mabel and the others
were definitely not dressed warmly enough.
With that in mind, Jonathan quickly leaped to his feet and adjusted his robe. His body was slowly adjusting to the
temperature around him, which was about negative ten degrees Celsius.
Had it not been for Jonathan's high cultivation level, he probably would have frozen to death at that point.
As he gazed into the distance, all he saw was an endless field of white snow.
Am I on the other side of the earth, or am I in another dimensional space? Or does this place have nothing to do
with the boundless universe at all?
Jonathan had no idea where he was, but he was more concerned about Mabel and the others.
Shouldn't we all have landed in the same spot? Why do I feel like we're all so far apart from each other?
It had stopped snowing all of a sudden, but the winds were still blowing strongly all around.
Of course, Jonathan wasn't affected by the icy-cold winds in the slightest.
After squinting his eyes and staring into the distance, he finally spotted some movement about a hundred meters
away.
Overjoyed, Jonathan ran toward it as quickly as his legs could carry him.
The snow underneath his feet was very thick, but it didn't bother him at all because he had the ability to make
himself as light as a feather.
As Jonathan got closer, he saw someone being covered by a pile of snow.
That person was none other than Yeverie.
Feeling relieved to have found her, Jonathan quickly bent over and rolled Yeverie onto her back.
Her face was as white as a sheet, and she appeared to be severely injured.

Jonathan quickly took off his robe and wrapped it tightly around her body.
“Yeverie? Hey, Yeverie!” he called out to her while gently patting her on the cheek.
Yeverie slowly opened her eyes a few seconds later, and her face was filled with joy when she saw Jonathan, “I'm so
glad you're all right, Your Majesty!”
“I think you should worry about yourself first,” Jonathan replied with a wry smile.
At that very moment, all he had on was a white dress shirt, a pair of drawstring pants, and a pair of sneakers.
He had chosen that outfit for his battle with Anakin.
Who would've thought he would end up in a place like this?
Jonathan's sneakers were all wet from the snow.
Yeverie shook her head. “I'm fine, Your Majesty.”
Being a loyal servant, all she cared about was Jonathan's safety.
As Jonathan reached out and checked her pulse, he realized that Yeverie had sustained internal injuries during their
battle with Anakin and his men. If that wasn't bad enough, crashing forcefully into the snow worsened the state of
her injuries even further.
There was nothing Jonathan could do to treat Yeverie because internal injuries could only heal naturally,
“Where are we, Your Majesty? Why is it so cold here?” Yeverie asked.
“Honestly, I'm not too sure about that myself,” Jonathan replied after gazing into the distance.
“Where is everybody?” Yeverie asked.
“Probably somewhere nearby. Here, hop on. I'll carry you on my back while we look for them,” Jonathan replied.
“I can walk on my own, Your Majesty!” Yeverie replied while attempting to stand up, but her body was too weak to
do so. That was when she realized the severity of her injuries.
“Don't try to force it. Also, you can forget about my status for the time being. Right now, you and I are friends, and
friends help each other out!” Jonathan then knelt beside her and continued, “Now, hop on!”
Yeverie blushed slightly as she still felt somewhat embarrassed about it, but she didn't have much of a choice at the
time.
To her surprise, the sensation of her breasts pressing against Jonathan's back hoisting her onto his back felt rather
comfortable. As Yeverie was weakened from hunger and her injuries, Jonathan had no choice but to support her
bottom with his hands.
Even so, Jonathan was no perv*rt and had no lecherous thoughts whatsoever. All he cared about was to locate his
companions as soon as possible and find out where they had been transported to.
On top of that, he was still saddened by Solorel's death during the battle earlier.
There were snowy plains and snowy forests as far as the eye could see.
The sky had gradually turned dark, but Jonathan was still unable to find anyone else.
Not only were there no traces in the snow that he could track down, but the weather also got even colder at night.
As such, Jonathan had to change his primary objective to survive the night.
While he could somehow manage on his own, Yeverie would certainly not survive being out in sub-zero temperature
all night, especially while she was severely injured.
Yeverie's eyes were tightly shut at the time.
Jonathan couldn't tell if Yeverie had passed out or if she had simply fallen asleep. Regardless, Jonathan knew that
neither of those were a good sign.
As Jonathan gazed at the boundless snowy plains around him, he realized that he had no place to seek shelter at all.
Even though he had yet to find Mabel and the others, Jonathan knew that they couldn't have run into some sort of
danger on the way into the portal.
He believed that it was simply a matter of time before he would come across them.
In the meantime, Jonathan had to figure out a way to nurse Yeverie back to health.
Unfortunately, it started snowing heavily once again.
Jonathan then laid Yeverie down on the ground before sitting in a cross-legged position.
Instead of aimlessly searching for his companions in the snowy plains, he decided to activate his spiritual sense to
assess his surroundings.
It didn't take him long to find a small cave southeast of his location. We can seek shelter from the cold inside that
cave!
With that in mind, Jonathan picked Yeverie up and ran toward the cave as quickly as his legs could carry him.
He soon arrived at the cave, which turned out to be so small that it could only fit two people.
As Jonathan carried Yeverie inside, he felt as though the wind and the snow had stopped completely.
While it wasn't all that warm inside the cave, it was still a lot better than staying outside.
There was a pile of snow both outside the cave entrance and inside the cave, but it did help block out the wind.
Realizing that his body temperature could melt the snow inside the cave, he held Yeverie tightly in his embrace.
The two of them were in a really intimate position, but Jonathan was simply doing what he had to do.
He didn't have the ability to focus his body temperature in his core, so all he could do was hug her tightly to keep
her warm throughout the night.
He began to feel anxious when he saw Yeverie's body getting weaker and weaker over time.
As they were the only ones there at the time, they had to depend on each other for survival.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAs Yeverie's body was severely weakened by her injuries, she had no resistance to the harsh cold weather.
With no other choice, Jonathan let out a helpless sigh as he took off his robe and removed Yeverie's Force Costume.
Moments later, Yeverie was lying there only in her purple underwear.
Despite having a full view of her milky white cleavage and slender waist, Jonathan did not have any lewd thoughts
whatsoever.
He then removed his shirt and hugged Yeverie tightly before wrapping the robe around both their bodies.
That was the only way he could ensure maximum heat transfer between them.
Sure enough, Yeverie's condition began to improve slightly from the warmth of his body.
As Jonathan had a high cultivation level, his body was practically a living, breathing heater.
That was when Jonathan recalled something else.
The fact that Yeverie was a vampire meant she could heal faster if she consumed blood.
He still had a few bags of blood stored inside his spatial ring, but those were cold and no longer fresh, so it would
probably take longer for the effects to kick in.
Eventually, Jonathan decided to just bite down on one of his pulse points. Blood came gushing out of the wound
almost instantly. Jonathan then quickly held it up to Yeverie's mouth.
For a vampire like Yeverie, the smell of fresh blood was similar to the fragrant aroma of the most delicious food in
existence.
She instinctively began sucking on Jonathan's blood in her dazed state.
Jonathan felt an intense pain in his wound after some time. Realizing that he had lost a significant amount of blood,
he quickly pulled his arm back by force.
With a flick of his wrist, Jonathan could clearly see the gaping wound on his arm heal itself rapidly.
That was one of the perks of being a Divine Master.
As for Yeverie, her face was no longer pale after drinking Jonathan's blood.
As Jonathan took Yeverie's pulse again, he realized that his blood had helped her significantly as it turned into
nutrients after entering her body. The nutrients didn't just rush straight to her cerebral domain, though.
There were certain conditions to be met before it could do so. For example, their body would have to be in no need
of nutrients.
That was similar to how a river flowing through a pond would have to fill it completely before continuing its journey
toward the sea.
As Yeverie's internal organs had been badly damaged, the nutrients had to first focus on repairing them.
About an hour later, Yeverie had fully recovered from her injuries, and she regained her resistance to the cold.
She was shocked to find herself in such an intimate position upon opening her eyes.
Being a virgin, it was only natural for her to blush hard in that situation. Even so, she did not struggle when she saw
that Jonathan was sleeping soundly.
