Chapter 216
“Miss Chloe Blatt? I’m collecting information for a disciplinary inspection on behalf of the Municipal
Commission for Discipline Inspection and would like your assistance.”
Chloe’s expression flashed warily. She put her breakfast down and answered the door.
Three people in uniforms walked in.
The head said, “Hello, my name’s Tiffany Enere I’m here to ask you a few questions.”
Chloe shouted. “Are you serious? I’ve already been fired! What more do you want?”
Tears welled up in Chloe’s eyes.
Tiffany hurried to say, “Wait, don’t panic! We’re just here to see if you have anything to do with Telford
Gills‘ situation.” “Telford Gills?” Chloe said, shocked.
Tiffany said, “That’s right. Gills is under investigation for improper work conduct, and we’re here to
investigate the matter.”
Chloe sneered coldly. “I don’t know a thing.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe knew how powerful Telford was and figured it was probably better for a young woman like her to
stay out of trouble.
Jordan Pavian had just threatened to kill her a day ago. She wanted nothing to do with this at all.
Tiffany, a clear veteran at this, just smiled and comforted, “Don’t worry. We’ll guarantee your safety.
This case was reported by a pretty important person, and Gills will be dealt with for sure.”
What she meant was Telford had messed with Faron Campbell, and he was going to be in trouble
whether he liked it or not.
Chlor looked at Tiffany, not entirely convinced.
Tiffany nodded. “Governor Campbell’s son made the report against Gills personally. Do you understand
the weight of this Issue?”
Chlor gasped
Anyone from Seechertown knew who Orin was, and it was definitely a big deal if Orin’s own son was
reporting it.
Besides, Chloe was still indignant at what had happened to her. She gave it some thought and decided
to come clean.
Thus, she described everything that happened from the start, including what happened in the private
club.
Tiffany smiled after hearing her out. “I can tell you for sure that Telford Gills is done for, and you’ll get
your job back.”
“Really?” Chloe was truly shocked. It was important to note how difficult it was to get such a job, and
Chloe still deeply loved journalism.
Tiffany said, “Someone made it clear that you would get your job back as long as you were honest.
Thank you for your cooperation. We’ll be on our way now.”
Tiffany shook Chloe’s hand and left with her team after that.
Chloe was still in a daze after they were pote
Someone had given the order for her to get her jul back? Who had done such a thing, and why?

The previous night had worn laim out, and he was practically drained.
Just then, the door was pushed open, and a group of people walked in.
Telford sprang up from his desk in a fit of rage. “Are you looking to die, barging in here without even
bothering to knock?”
“Telford Gills, this is a disciplinary inspection. We’re looking to cross–check some facts with you.
Chapter 2 16
Those words made Telford tremble at once. He could feel all his fatigue leaving his body.
He got to his feet and looked nervously at the people in his office, “What facts?”
“You’re coming with us. We’ll get to that eventually.” Tiffany said emotionlessly.
Telford panicked, not knowing what to do.
A while later, he said, “Let me make a phone call.”
Tiffany smirked but did not stop him.
Telford Gills was done for, and anyone he was reaching out to would be in trouble as well.
It all depended on whoever he was calling and whether that person knew what they were doing.
