125 He Could Not Concentrate
After accompanying Bai Xi Xi for breakfast, the Bai siblings hopped on Zhang Li Xue’s car. The three of them were planning to head to an indoor court not too far away from the apartment.
Zhang Li Xue glanced at the young man who was sitting beside her and sighed. After that long talk with Bai Qi at the hospital that day, Zhang Li Xue could not help but to feel awkward around him.
She was still in disbelief that the little boy from back then had grown up to be a tall and handsome man.
Fortunately, Bai Xi Xi was coming along with them. The little girl’s chattery voice helped her to be more at ease.
Throughout their trip to the court, Bai Xi Xi continued to talk with her Pretty Sister non-stop. In her opinion, this Pretty Sister knew a lot of things. Talking to her was fun.
The vehicle pulled over into a parking spot. Zhang Li Xue alighted and watched as Bai Qi helped his sister with the door. Zhang Li Xue grabbed her knapsack in the cargo and the three of them walked into the court together.
There was no one around when they entered the place. Previously, Zhang Li Xue had visited this court with her friends. She did not want to run into anyone she knew and had booked the whole court.
Bai Xi Xi entered the court and started running around happily.
“I should go and get changed in the changing room,” Zhang Li Xue said. “Xi Xi, do you want to come with me?”

The little girl shifted her gaze between the two adults. Then, she shook her head. “No. I’ll stay with Brother Bai Qi.” She knew that her brother was going to warm up before they play and she wanted to watch him practice.
“Then, I’ll come back real quick,” Zhang Li Xue said.
Bai Qi turned to look in the direction of the changing room and frowned. “Will you be alright?” The hallway looked a bit dark and he was worried that she might get scared. “Xi Xi and I can wait for you outside.”
“It’s alright.” Zhang Li Xue waved her hand. She would be easily scared at night. However, she could tolerate a bit of darkness when the sun was still up.
Zhang Li Xue turned around and headed over to the changing room. She turned on the light and finally heaved in relief. However, the silence was a little creepy. Zhang Li Xue changed her clothes quickly and headed out again.
The sound of the ball against the floor reverberated through the court as she came closer.
Seeing that Bai Qi was practicing a few tricks to show his sister around, Zhang Li Xue decided to stand at the side and watch him moving around the court for a while.
Then, Bai Qi turned around with the ball in his hand. As he approached closer to the hoop, he jumped and shot the ball.
The ball circled around the hoop before it entered.
“Brother, you are great!” Bai Xi Xi started to clap enthusiastically.
Bai Qi grabbed the ball and turned. He was walking to his sister when he saw that someone was watching him. Seeing the faint smile on the little fairy’s lips made him blush. Bai Qi touched the tip of his nose and lowered his gaze.
“Doctor Bai, that was great.” Zhang Li Xue stared at the man’s long legs and narrowed her eyes. She could not help feeling a little jealous of his long legs.
In the past, she had encouraged him to drink more milk so he could grow taller. Who would have expected that this man would really grow tall?
Bai Qi bounced the ball on the floor a few times. “Thank you. Do you need to warm up a little bit?”
Zhang Li Xue shifted her gaze to the ball and nodded. “Pass me the ball.”
Bai Qi made a perfect pass and Zhang Li Xue caught it with ease. Then, she began to run around the court with the ball in her hand.
The squeaking sound from Zhang Li Xue’s shoes and the thumping of the ball filled the court. Bai Xi Xi watched as the Pretty Sister handled the ball easily in awe.
A few days ago, her brother told her that the Pretty Sister was very good at basketball.
In Bai Xi Xi’s mind, no one was as good as her brother. However, now that she was watching the Pretty Sister dribbling the ball, Bai Xi Xi began to change her mind.
Her Brother Bai Qi was right. Pretty Sister is really good at basketball.
After warming up a little bit, Zhang Li Xue shot the ball to Bai Qi without warning and the man caught it easily.

Bai Qi nodded. After giving a few reminders to his sister, he then followed Zhang Li Xue to the center of the court.
The two of them stood opposing each other.
Zhang Li Xue stared at the man in front of her, guarding against him. Her heart pounded hard against her ribcage as Zhang Li Xue watched Bai Qi flash a smile at her.
Taking a few deep breaths, Zhang Li Xue forced herself to calm down.
She had to remind herself not to be overly excited to face Bai Qi in this match.
“Doctor Bai, I hope that you won’t go easy on me,” Zhang Li Xue said. “I wanted to see your skill.”
His lips turned into a helpless smile. “Alright.”
The match started as Bai Qi threw the ball up high.
Zhang Li Xue kept her gaze on the ball. She jumped up high and tried to grab the ball.
However, Bai Qi’s height was to his advantage. The man caught the ball easily before bouncing the ball and heading over to the hoop.
Gritting her teeth, Zhang Li Xue started to run after Bai Qi.
Although the man had an advantage with his long legs, Zhang Li Xue was confident that she could stop him with her skill and agility. After all, this would not be the first time that she was facing a tall opponent.
Zhang Li Xue picked up her speed and blocked Bai Qi’s path toward the hoop. Her eyes narrowed as their gaze met.
Bai Qi grew flustered. The little fairy’s gaze was too intense that he did not know what he should do about it. Bai Qi found that he could not concentrate with the way she was staring at him.
