341 Bai Qi, Thank You
Zhang Li Xue was still in the treatment room when Bai Qi arrived.
Her parents, Zhang Yu Han and Li Qin Yao sat at the corner of the corridor, surrounded by many of their friends. Everyone had worked hard to rescue their daughter and now, they were thanking them one by one.
Bai Qi stood at the other side, not wanting to disturb them. His gaze was on the doctor’s room, waiting for the doctor to come out and give them an update on Zhang Li Xue’s condition.
Zhang Yu Han was still talking to his friends when he saw Bai Qi standing alone in the corner. He excused himself and walked over to the young man’s side.
Bai Qi raised his head, noticing that the elder man was walking in his direction. “Uncle.”
Without warning, Zhang Yu Han spread his arms to hug Bai Qi. He slapped Bai Qi’s shoulder a few times and whispered, “Bai Qi, thank you.”
His gaze softened. Bai Qi understood that Zhang Yu Han was thanking him for helping to save Zhang Li Xue. “Uncle, everyone worked together to find Li Xue.”
Zhang Yu Han smiled. Of course, he understood that the rescue mission was possible because everyone was working together.
However, the person who had carried his daughter out of the place was Bai Qi. Just because of this, he was thankful for what Bai Qi had done.

Zhang Yu Han could not help but think that he would be at ease if her daughter stayed with this young man. He saw how Bai Qi had worked hard to bring his daughter out.
At this time, Zhang Yu Han had to admit that her daughter really had good taste in a man.
“How did you figure out that Li Xue was trapped in that spot?” Zhang Yu Han asked.
“It wasn’t me. I think it was one of your friends who located her first,” Bai Qi said. “That auntie said, she heard Li Xue’s voice and pointed me in the direction.”
Zhang Yu Han planned to invite his friends later and treat them to a good meal. He needed to thank everyone and show his sincerity.
The door slid open. Suddenly, everyone quietened down when they saw the doctor come out. The doctor paused for a few seconds when he saw there were a lot of people waiting outside the room.
Seeing their concerned look, the doctor decided not to scold them for gathering around.
“Doctor, how is my daughter?” Li Qin Yao looked at the doctor anxiously.
Her daughter has been in the treatment room for a while and Li Qin Yao was beginning to worry that something might happen to her.
“Your daughter’s fine. Her left leg is fractured. But with enough rest, she should recover,” the doctor said. “Your daughter had a fever and I already gave her some medicine. Right now, she already falls asleep.” He swept his gaze at everyone who was gathered around the place. “Everyone, I know that you are worried about her, but the patient still needs time to rest. You can visit her again when she wakes up.”
The others naturally understood the doctor’s words.
As long as Zhang Li Xue was awake, they would feel more at ease.
After saying a few words to Zhang Yu Han and Li Qin Yao, everyone left the hospital to give the family some time together.
When everyone had left, Zhang Li Xue was finally brought out of the treatment room and transferred to the ward.
Li Qin Yao looked at her husband and shifted her gaze to Bai Qi, who chose to stay and wait for her daughter.
Seeing that her daughter was still asleep, Li Qin Yao leaned over to her husband and whispered a few words.
Zhang Yu Han shifted his gaze to Bai Qi. He pondered over his wife’s words before walking over to Bai Qi again.
“Uncle, Aunt,” Bai Qi greeted them politely.
Zhang Yu Han cleared his throat and spoke, “The doctor said that Li Xue is sleeping.” He glanced at his wife and continued, “Your aunt and I are going back to the hotel to rest. Bai Qi, is it alright if you stay here and look after Li Xue? Wait for her to wake up and call us.”
Bai Qi looked at the couple in surprise. He did not expect that the couple would give him the chance to stay by Zhang Li Xue’s side.
“Of course.” Bai Qi nodded. “Uncle, Aunt, you can rest assured. I will look after Li Xue. When she wakes up, I will let you be the first to know.”

“It’s alright. I have everything I need.” Bai Qi had already packed everything he needed before coming to H City. When he came with Qi Zheng to the hospital, Bai Qi carried her backpack with him.
“Then, I’ll let someone deliver something for you to eat,” Li Qin Yao said.
Bai Qi decided not to reject the woman’s kind intention. “Alright.” He walked the couple to the elevator and watched as they leave.
Taking a deep breath, he then turned around and headed to Zhang Li Xue’s ward.
He walked into the VIP ward and looked at the person who was sleeping soundly on the bed. Bai Qi went over to Zhang Li Xue’s side to check on her temperature.
Seeing that her temperature was no longer as high, Bai Qi heaved in relief. Then, he moved to check her record. Once he saw that there was nothing wrong with his girlfriend, Bai Qi finally took a seat.
Zhang Li Xue’s eyes were closed and her chest heaved slowly. His little fairy looked very serene in her sleep.
Fortunately, she was alright.
Bai Qi recalled everything that happened within the past few hours. He could not describe his feelings when he found out that Zhang Li Xue was involved in this accident.
He no longer wanted to experience that feeling again.
Bai Qi sat there quietly as he watched his sleeping fairy. He slid his hand underneath her blanket and held her hand tightly. He never wanted to let her go.
