650 I Saw You Yesterday
The school bell rang, signaling that it was time for the students that they can leave the school and headed home.
After saying a few words to Bai Xi Xi, Lin Xiao Tong quickly fled away to meet with her boyfriend.
Bai Xi Xi gathered her belongings and glanced at her tablemate.
There were a few of their classmates who were surrounding him, wanting to find a chance to walk home with him. However, Fu Chen merely shot them a smile and rejected their offer.
He told them that he had to visit the teacher’s office to settle a few more things regarding his school registration. The girls were disappointed, but they did not try to force him.
Bai Xi Xi lowered her gaze again. She adjusted the straps on her shoulder before walking to the front to pick up the exercise books. As usual, it was her duty to send the books to their teacher.
Fortunately, it did not take her too long to deliver the books to the teacher’s office.
Bai Xi Xi looked at the corridor and pursed her lips when she did not see her tablemate. She seemed to remember that Fu Chen had told the girls that he needed to go to the teacher’s office.
Perhaps, he was only saying that to avoid the girls.

Bai Xi Xi inhaled a deep breath and decided to leave the school. This time, she deliberately walked along the school’s basketball court. She stood at the side to watch a few boys practicing.
The atmosphere was quite lively, especially with the girls’ cheering voices.
She looked at the center of the court and saw the basketball captain, Jian Chi dribbling the ball while trying to confuse the other team.
Bai Xi Xi narrowed her eyes as she scolded Jian Chi for not cooperating well with his teammates.
If only he passed the ball to Shi An who was on his right, perhaps their team would have their chance to score. But Jian Chi was someone who liked to be the center of attention.
Perhaps, it was because of that that the girls liked him very much.
On the basketball court, Jian Chi moved to the hoop, wanting to shoot the ball. However, before he could shoot the ball, the other team had already stolen the ball away.
Bai Xi Xi heaved a long sigh.
She should have known that something like this would happen. Fortunately, she was able to hold back the urge to scream at the team.
Bai Xi Xi liked Y City High School. However, her greatest disappointment was that the school did not have a girls’ basketball team. Y City High School, however, was quite famous for its cheerleading squad.
Feeling very disappointed with the school’s basketball team, Bai Xi Xi decided to turn around and leave. She felt that the more she was watching the match, the angrier she would feel.
The quietness around the neighborhood as well as the beautiful scenery finally made her heart at ease. Bai Xi Xi walked past a small shop in the neighborhood and decided to buy some snacks for her niece and nephew at home.
Just imagining how Bai Jing Jing was going to look at her when she gave her some cakes made her smile. The little girl liked eating delicious food very much.
Bai Xi Xi always thought that Bai Jing Jing’s personality was very much like her sister-in-law’s. The two of them were foodies and can be quite mischievous.
As their aunt, Bai Xi Xi enjoyed spoiling them the most. Perhaps, it was because of that that the kids were especially close to her.
After getting a few boxes of cakes, Bai Xi Xi continued to walk home. After a while, she began to notice the footsteps behind her.
Her brow furrowed as she wondered if she was being followed.
Bai Xi Xi turned into a corner before turning around sharply to look at the person behind her.
Her eyes widened in surprise upon seeing her tablemate, Fu Chen, in front of her.
From the look on Fu Chen’s face, it seemed that he too was surprised to see her turning suddenly.
“It’s you...” Bai Xi Xi took a step back, creating a distance between them. “Why are you here?”
Fu Chen touched the tip of his nose. “My house is somewhere nearby.”
A tinge of pink appeared on Bai Xi Xi’s cheek. She felt a little guilty for thinking that Fu Chen was following her around.

“Uh-huh.” He pointed his finger at the housing lot not too far away. “My house is in that direction.”
Bai Xi Xi followed his line of gaze. Her house was also in that direction. However, it will be a while before she could reach home.
Feeling slightly awkward at this exchange, Bai Xi Xi turned around without saying a word. Once she started walking, Bai Xi Xi could sense that Fu Chen was walking behind her.
Fortunately, there were a lot of people walking around the area. Therefore, Bai Xi Xi was not afraid that Fu Chen might do anything to her.
After walking for a while, they finally walked past the basketball court in the playground. Bai Xi Xi glanced at the court and saw that the ball was not there like yesterday.
However, under the tree not too far away from the basketball court, a group of elders was seen chatting happily. Bai Xi Xi knew them. The grandpas were always hanging around the area to gossip while playing chess.
“Class Monitor.”
Fu Chen’s voice made her turn around. Bai Xi Xi stopped on her track when she noticed that Fu Chen was staring at her. He seemed as if he had something to say to her.
Fu Chen turned to look at the basketball court and continued, “The girl who was practicing basketball here yesterday was you, right?”
Bai Xi Xi stared at the boy in front of her warily.
“I saw you yesterday.” Fu Chen scratched his neck, feeling slightly anxious by Bai Xi Xi’s gaze. Then, he looked at her again and smiled. “The three-pointer shot yesterday was cool.”
The look on Bai Xi Xi’s face started to change. She did not expect that someone would see her on the basketball court yesterday.
