Chapter 329 The department of supervision had discovered that he and Damian were related and suspected further issues. That was why Marco had sought Angela out.
"Ms. Graham, I need you to take a look at this. I made a mistake trying to cover for my uncle today, but I haven't caused any other issues." Marco looked distressed and wanted to plead for forgiveness.
Yet, Angela sensed that something was amiss. She spoke in a soothing tone, carefully watching his reaction as she continued, "Why not clarify your mistakes now before others discover them? If they do, it could severely damage your reputation." Marco's eyes betrayed a deep sense of guilt as he lowered his head, utterly at a loss.
Angela ignored him. Then, she sent Clara a Whatmessage after leaving the company, asking her to investigate Marco and find out about any issues he might have.

Angela shot him a frustrated glare. "How many Bamford family businesses exist in this world? And how many Dexters are there?" Dexter smiled and shot her an amused glance. "I'll consider that a compliment. Given your exquisite taste, lettreat you to a meal." "I wasn't going to foot the bill anyway." Angela scoffed, rolling her eyes.
She suddenly realized their relationship had changed. They were neither lovers nor spouses, and they could hardly be considered friends.
Yet, something felt indescribably off. There was always a nagging feeling that snapped them out of their good spirits, leaving them unsettled and aware that something was amiss.
Angela pushed aside her worries and entered a popular barbecue restaurant with Dexter. Overthinking wasn't helping. She decided it was best t@focus on the present and view him as a temporary partner. Since he had helped her so much, it was only fair to show him sappreciation.
"This, this, and this..." Angela eagerly picked up the menu and ordered everything that caught her eye. The sight of the tempting dishes made her thrilled, and her appetite had suddenly increased.
In contrast to her, Dexter was much more elegant. He quietly admired her words and actions, feeling somewhat amused.
Soon enough, the delicious food arrived at the table. Angela sipped sfreshly squeezed orange juice to cleanse her palate, then dove into her meal. Squid, prawns, crabs, and beef quickly vanished from her plate and into her eager stomach. The aroma was utterly irresistible.
Dexter initially thought she was nearly done eating, but he soon noticed something was off. She was overeating. Her mouth was stuffed with food. Yet, she continued to place orders, even after two separate groups of customers had left their tables.
Dexter frowned and stopped her, saying, "That's enough. If you eat like this again, I won't take you out next time." Angela froze while eating the grilled fish. "What?" "Let's leave now," Dexter commanded coldly. He stood up, ready to take her away.

Angela abruptly clutched the edge of the table. Her voice voice was strained as she forced the words out. "Hold on.
I...I'm having a stomachache." She had eaten too much and felt bloated. Ultimately, she sat there for a while to recover.
Dexter sighed deeply, filled with regret.
For an entire week, Angela abstained from eating any meat. Her meals were remarkably flavorless.
Moreover, Dexter successfully contacted Clara and warned her that Angela was very unwelt. Thus, she needed to avoid certain foods to prevent serious consequences.
