Chapter 70
Chapter 70
Actorman replied, “Lia, | cjust to meet you, but I’m not at school yet When | arrive, should | cto find you?” Cordelia looked up at her friend, her expression dead serious. “Do we let him cto us, or do we go to him?” Merry couldn't help but burst into laughter, “Lia, enough already! Seriously, stop joking around!”
But Cordelia furrowed her brows, saying, “I’m not joking.”
Merry knew her character. With a sudden halt to her laughter, she pondered for a moment before asking, “Lia, did this guy say he’s Bland?”
Cordelia nodded, and it clicked for Merry. She shot up from her seat, a frown knitting her brows, “Lia, | get it now. You've been scammed!”
Cordelia blinked, her doe eyes clouded with confusion, “What?”
Merry pointed at Cordelia’s phone, “I’ve heard about these scams, people pretending to be celebrities to get money or stuff. Has he asked you for anything?”
Cordelia hesitated, “Well... he’s askedto buy things for him.
Merry’s nod was fierce, “Exactly! Damn it! This scammer has the nerve to target Lia. Giveyour phone, I’m going to give hima piece of my mind.”
Still puzzled, Cordelia handed over her phone to Merry.
Merry scrutinized the messages briefly, “He must know that Bland is coming to Greenmeadow International School, so he’s planning to lure you out. Could be a ransom or kidnapping scam. We need to deal with this guy harshly!”

Merry typed a message on Cordelia’s phone, “How about we meet after morning classes, in the equipment room at Greenmeadow International School?”
“It was a secluded spot. Perfect for teaching the fraud a lesson without drawing attention.” Merry thought so. Actorman replied with an overly chipper, “Okey—dokey!”
Bland’s persona was the epitof cool aloofness. He’d never use such cutesy language.
Well, today at lunch, this con artist would regret ever crossing paths with them.
After sending the message, Merry handed the phone back to Cordelia and sat down, pulling out her phone to send an alert in their “FlUnion” group chat.
Merry said, “Lia’s in trouble, need backup!”
Yates was confused.
“Sscammer claims to be Bland and set up a meeting with Lia at noon.” replied Merry.
“Givetand place.”
“After morning classes, equipment room.”
Cordelia, oblivious to the unfolding plan, had already dove back into her literature assignment, utterly engrossed.
After two classes, the excitement over the visiting movie star meant that the usual aerobics break was canceled. Latham strolled in with a light step, announcing, “Alright folks, I've got sgreat news for you!”
His grin was infectious, “Bland is here at the school, you all know that, right?” Chapter 70 The classroom erupted with shrieks of excitement from everyone.
Bland was not only a heartthrob but a talented actor with a fan base spanning genders and ages. Everyone eagerly awaited Latham’s next words.
Someone called out, “Will we get a chance to meet him? Even a glimpse from afar would be amazing!” Latham turned stern, “School rules are clear. No one is to approach Bland while filming to avoid disrupting the process.” The students groaned in collective disappointment.
But Latham’s next words were like a balm, “However, there is an opportunity now. The production needs sextras. I’ve signed you all up! Anyone who doesn’t want to participate doesn’t have to.”
The class erupted again, this twith cheers of joy and proclamations of love for Latham, who had just taken them on an emotional roller coaster.
Latham held out his hand and pressed the voices of the students in the class. Then he spoke again, “Since you have to attend classes, the extras are shooting in the afternoon self-study class. In the third year of senior high school, our extracurricular activities must be reduced, and study tis not enough. | hope that after Bland leaves this time, everyone can study with peace of mind!”
“No problem!” The cohesion in the class was at an all-thigh.
Merry couldn't restrain her mood. She turned to Cordelia, and her heavily made-up face was full of wonder: “Ah, Lia, I’m going to die, | want to see the real idol!”
As the energy in the room hit its peak, Merry turned to Cordelia, her heavily made-up face ablaze with excitement, “Oh my god, Cordelia, | can’t handle this. I’m going to see my idol!”
Cordelia didn’t respond, lost in her thoughts.
Merry scrambled for her mirror, “I need to touch up my makeup. | can’t meet my idol looking like this. Oh no, | didn’t bring my remover... what do | do...”

In the midst of Merry’s crisis, Latham called out, “Merry and Juliana, can | see you two for a moment?” The classroom buzzed with speculation as the two girls followed Latham out.
“Did you hear about that movie Bland’s shooting? There's a scene with his character's first loveg m pianist aiheiesit Scar crash It'sa stall part, but crucial. They had an actress lined up, but she bailed. | bet Latham is considering Juliana for the role. Her piano skills are top-notch,” one student speculated. The content is on Drama.Org! Others couldn't help but envious of Juliana’s opportunity to act alongside Bland, a genuine privilege, even considering their backgrounds.
When Merry and Juliana returned, Juliana seemed composed, but Merry was visibly shaken like she was living in a dream. Merry could hardly believe it when Latham thought of her for such an incredible opportunity.
Seated at the front of the classroom, Juliana recounted the event, which immediately sparked a reaction from her peers, “Man, I'm suddenly regretting not sticking with those piano lessons!”
With a sly grin, Juliana chuckled, “Nah, it’s not like that. The school’s nominating a few people to audition.”
“But you're the belle of the ball around here, and your piano skills, are off the charts! lt's gotta be ou! The alidition ls just a formality, really. Everyone else is just there to fill the seats!” The content is on Drama.Org! Read the latest chapter there!
Juliana remained silent. 2/3 Chapter 70
Hayley, a classmate who always looked down on Cordelia with her acid—-tongued remarks, overheard the conversation an gtgngedat \ rdeliniyehdivtas itting at the back ot the room. She laughed mockingly, “What's the point of burying yourself in books all the time? Too bad, no piano skills mean no chance of getting picked by Latham. At those words, Juliana shifted her expression subtly:
