Chapter 107 Chapter 107 3 Just as Alex was losing his cool, Aaron stepped out of the elevator Seeing Alex at Ellie's apartment door, Aaron opened the door.

+23) Ellie walked in. Alex was about to follow her in, but Aaron blocked him. "Goodbye," Aaron said politely, then closed the door with Alex outside.

Inside the apartment, the siblings heard Alex ranting as he left and exchanged a glance.

Aaron put down the luggage he was holding and asked, "Why were you drinking?" 7924 "Lacey was hosting, so I had a bit to drink," Ellie replied. She didn't tell him why she drank so much, nor did she explain why Alex was there.

Aaron's gaze lingered on Ellie for a moment, but he didn't ask anything. "I'll make a call. You go pack up your things, and we'll head back hfor Christmas later," he instructed.

Ellie went into her room to pack her things while Aaron took his phone to the living room balcony. Seeing Haley's non the caller ID, he hesitated for a moment before hanging up.

In the afternoon, the siblings temporarily set aside their worries and happily returned to their hometown to spend Christmas with their parents.

On the eighth day of Christmas, Ellie returned to Jaslands, getting ready to go abroad to continue her studies. Remembering her mom's reminder before getting in the car, she decided to visit the Warren family.

At ten in the morning, Ellie arrived at the Warren Manor, surprised to see Haley there, sitting next to Nancy, holding her hand and chatting.

Opposite them, Alex was lounging lazily on the couch, scrolling through his phone. Every now and then, he would glance aty Haley, and after exchanging a few words, they both broke into smiles.

Ellie stood at the door and watched for a while, until the butler called out, urging her to cheer up. "Nancy, I'm here to wish you a happy Christmas," she announced.

As soon as Haley saw Ellie, her expression changed. Noticing Nancy getting up to greet Ellie, Haley quietly moved to sit next to Alex.

Alex glanced at Haley, then casually turned his gaze toward Ellie She was wearing a thin white down jacket today, her long hair, now with curls, pulled up into a high ponytail. With a sweet smile directed at Nancy, she looked like the perfect angel.

As Ellie never looked his way, Alex awkwardly averted his eyes, feeling a bit ignored.

Ellie gave the big red cashmere scarf she bought to Nancy. "Wishing you more youth and beauty with each year," she said warmly.

Nancy took the scarf from Ellie and gave her a big warm hug. "Oh, my sweetheart! I've been looking forward to your visit for days!" she exclaimed excitedly.

"Where are Todd and Carlos?" Ellie asked, glancing around the living room.

Nancy happily held Ellie's hand. "We're family now, and you both better get along well." "Don't worry, Nancy. I've known Ellie for many years. I'll definitely treat her like my own sister," Haley said, making Nancy smile widely.

As Ellie stayed silent, Haley pretended to be concerned. "Ellie heard from Lacey that you're flying abroad today. What tis your flight? Let Alex andtake you to the airport." Ellie looked at Haley's insincere face and said calmly, "It's at 5:40 PM."

"Leaving so soon?" Nancy held Ellie's hand like she was her own daughter. "I wanted you to cshopping withto pick out sbedding for those two lovebirds." Ellie laughed it off. "You have a better eye than I do. Everything you choose looks great."
