hapter 147 Chapter 147 Alex took a step towards Ellic, and she retreated two steps back.

Meeting Ellie's wary gaze, Alex stopped. He stared intently at Ellie's injured wrist, unable to hide the heartache in his eyes. His voice involuntarily softened. "I'll call a doctor" As soon as Alex left the examination room, Ellie picked up her phone and resolutely called the police.

It was working hours and at her workplace; her assault and injury should be considered an occupational injury. Even if she requested hospitalization, she should be entitled to hospital subsidies and compensation from Alex.
