Chapter 151 At noon, Alex rushed to Jaslands Hospital.

She's trying to driveto my death" Seeing Alex didn't speak, Haley tentatively moved to the edge of the bed and grabbed Alex's arm. "I'm afraid to go out and see people, and I dare not go online to look at those posts. I'm so anxious that I can't eat or sleep.

"The Owens Group's stock has been falling for three consecutive days because of the damage to my reputation. I really don't know what to do." She sobbed.

Alex sighed. "Committing suicide by taking sleeping pills isn't a solution." Haley cried sadly. "Alex, I didn't mean to pressure you like this. If this matter isn't properly resolved, even if I don't die, the stock price of Owens Group will continue to fall, and my father will jump off the building." Alex stood by Haley's bedside, on the verge of exploding. "Haley, this is not the first time. Can't you cup with something new?" Alex's sudden irritability stunned Haley.

Alex said, "Haley, no matter what your reasons are, there won't be a third time." Haley's mother, who had been silent, seeing Alex's impatience, quickly handed a stack of examination forms to Alex. "Alex, calm down. My daughter didn't really want to commit suicide. She has depression and can't control herself." Taking the opportunity, Haley's mother continued, "Haley has been cheerful since she was a child. She was happy every day without any worries before she was with you. I never expected she would suffer from depression because of you." Alex took the examination forms and glanced over them briefly. Seeing the diagnosis of Haley's depression, the irritation in his eyes gradually dissipated.

Haley sat by the bed, tentatively holding Alex's arm. "Alex, I did that out of anger. I cared too much about you. That's why I lost my mind and treated her that way, but I really didn't expect Ellie to retaliate so viciously against me." Alex lowered his eyes, his complicated gaze locking onto Haley's expression. "Haley, this is Jaslands. You really think I didn't know what you've done behind my back?" Haley's heart tightened, and she denied it outright. "Alex, what are you talking about?" Alex said, "You went to see Aaron and threatened him. The recording of your conversation has been handed over to the police by Aaron."

Haley sat on the edge of the bed, her eyes widened in shock. She couldn't say a word completely unexpected that Aaron would do such a thing. Alex continued, "Lucy Woodard, the woman you bribed, has also confessed. Do you wantto be more explicit?"

Haley reacted, panicking and getting up. "I was cornered by Ellie, you know she hates me, she wishes I were dead, she has leverage over me. How could I not think more about it?"

"Haley, I can choose to tolerate you, but I can also choose not to."Alex threw the examination forms on the bedside table and turned to leave.
