Chapter 245 Ellie set her fork down and stood in front of Alex. Her eyes were as cold as if she were staring at a stranger. "I remember clearly. You were standing right here that day," she said.

Alex stared at Ellie, his eyes filled with an intensity he'd never shown before.

Alex swallowed hard. “What if I gave you a choice?" Ellie's heart twisted with sarcasm. "If I had a choice, I wouldn't have entered the Warren family." She continued, “If I had a choice, I would leave here forever, never wanting to see you again.” As her words echoed in the room, a heavy silence fell between them.

Alex's hands slowly slid off Ellie's shoulders, his grip weakening.

"Would you really walk away from everything here? Would you really never want to seeagain?" Alex's voice cut through the silence just as Ellie turned to carry the plate of food into the kitchen.

Ellie paused, then turned to face him. Her gaze met the increasingly intense, crazed look in Alex's eyes, her tone firm. "I only agreed to acknowledge the relationship and enter the Warren family because you and Haley forcedto.

"Ellie," Alex's voice was sharp with anger. "You say all this with such high-mindedness, Are you really not feeling guilty?" Before Ellie could respond, Alex grabbed her arm and pulled her out onto the balcony.
