Chapter 296 Alex spat out his wine in shock. Barry stood frozen, speechless.

80% +13 "Who dares to challenge me? Whoever loses has to strip!" Diana raised her glass and stood on the couch, her voice cutting through the noise of the private room, which quickly erupted into loud cheers.

The door to the room swung open, and Layton entered, flipping on all the lights and turning off the music. Lacey saw Layton and Alex's dark expressions and turned to Diana.

Diana, confused, asked Lacey, "Did you call them?" Lacey quickly put on her jacket. "Why would I? I'm not crazy." Layton scanned the room. "Where is she?" Both Lacey and Diana answered in unison, "We're all here.” Layton rubbed his forehead in frustration. "I mean, where is Ellie?" Diana, finally understanding, pointed toward the door. "She's in the restroom.” Before she could finish her words, Alex was already leaving the room. He stormed down the hall toward the restroom, and from a distance, he saw Ellie chatting with a man. His face darkened, and his steps quickened. Ellie turned slightly, noticing the murderous expression on Alex's face as he approached. She froze, feeling nervous.

Their eyes met, and Alex suddenly stopped. He glanced at the man in front of Ellie with a sharp look, and then he cleared his throat. "I'm going to the restroom." Not far away, Barry watched in confusion as Alex suddenly turned into the restroom. He had been following him all the way listening to him muttering angrily, yet he did nothing.

"Let's catch up next time." Seeing Alex, Ellie said goodbye to the man before turning to leave.

As soon as Ellie turned the corner into another hallway, a man ran straight toward her. Before she could say anything, he grabbed her and pulled her into a nearby room.

"Shh! Don't make a sound!" the man said, covering Ellie's mouth and pinning her against the door.

Ellie's heart pounded in fear. It looked like she had run into a pervert.

After calming down, Ellie quickly scanned the room. Seizing the moment when the man wasn't paying attention, she suddenly kneed him in the stomach and broke free from his grip.

The man bent over in pain, clutching the wall, and pointed at Elle. "Bitch, that was a pretty fierce move!" Before he could finish, Ellie grabbed a vase and smashed it over his head. "Take that, you creep!" Terrified, Ellie threw open the door and ran away.

"Stop right there!" The threatening voice from behind made Ellie freeze, but she didn't dare turn around. Without a second thought, she bolted out of the club. Standing on the sidewalk, she quickly texted Diana and Lacey, planning to leave.

Alex braced his hands on either side of Ellie, leaning slightly forward to trap her. He lowered his head slowly, bringing his lips close to her ear and This deliberately lowering his voice. "Why was that guy chasing you?"
