Chapter 450 A few days later, Ellie helped Joanna take a walk in the garden. It had been a week since Ellie returned from Yorksure, and Joanna's health had improved a lot. Now Joanna could get out of bed and walk around.

These days, although Alex video called Ellie every day and sent many messages, he hadn't cto the Thompson residence since the conversations with Joanna that day.

Ellie planned to make tto visit Carlos at the Warren Manor and also find out what Alex had been busy with these days.

Joanna asked. "Ellie, why didn't Aaron stay over last night?" Ellie shook her head. "Didut he cback last night?" Yesterday, because of the unpleasant incident between Diana and Yvette, Ellie had a long chat with Aaron. From what she could tell, he was blaming Yvette for being indiscreet and didn't mean to blDiana.

"Jason said this morning that Aaron hurried out late last night and didn't cback all night." Joanna was really worried. "Ellie, call Aaron and ask if something happened to him." Just as Ellie was about to take out her phone to call Aaron, she saw Aaron coming in from outside. "Aaron," Ellie quickly called out.

Aaron heard Ellie call him and adjusted his clothes before coming over.

Ellie noticed that Aaron was still wearing the sclothes as yesterday. She cto Aaron and asked in a low voice, "Why didn't you cback last night?" Aaron pushed Ellie's head away and couldn't hide the tiredness between his eyebrows. "I drank too much with my colleagues. Last night, and it was too late. I just got a room at the hotel.

"You stay with Mom and take a walk. I'll go upstairs and change my clothes first." After Aaron finished speaking, he didn't wait for Ellie and Joanna to ask any more questions and turned around and left.

Ellie supported Joanna and watched Aaron leave in a hurry. She felt that something was wrong.

Joanna frowned, "Ellie, is Aaron in skind of trouble?" Hearing Joanna's concern, Ellie quickly cback to her senses. “Mom, lethelp you back to your room. I'll go and ask him. Ellie helped Joanna back to the room and then went upstairs to find Aaron By the tAaron took a shower and changed his clothes and cout, they hadn't said a few words when Aaron went out again. Aaron cand went in a hurry, and Ellie was completely puzzled.

After noon, Ellie went to the Warren Manor to visit Carlos.

On her way to the Warren Manor, Ellie called Nancy and learned that a few days ago, Carlos went out to take care of the orchids when it suddenly rained heavily.

The butler couldn't push Carlos to avoid the rain in time. After getting a little wet, Carlos had a fever and was critically ill that night and was admitted to the hospital.

Ellie just got out of the elevator and saw Alex waiting for her at the elevator entrance. She questioned. "Why didn't you tellthat Grandpa has been critically ill for several days!!" Alex pulled Ellie to one side, and Ellie saw the scar on Alex's forehead. "Alex, what happened to your forehead?" "I just bumped into it by accident." Alex touched his forehead and looked down, making a perfunctory excuse.
