Vincent felt a rush of excitement as he tested out his newfound strength and speed. His abilities exceeded anything Debbie had ever seen before
But as he relished in his newfound power, she reminded him to check his chest where something was now attached.
Feeling a hard object on his chest, he removed his shirt and gazed in the mirror. To his surprise, he saw a golden medallion fitted perfectly on his chest, like a superhero's emblem. He couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as he saw his veins pulsing and connecting to the medallion.
'I look like that genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist in the movies." he muttered to himself as he found the medallion comically similar.
"What is this thing?" he asked with a puzzled look as he tried to pull it out, but it won't even budge.
"I have no clue," she replied with a hint of frustration in her voice. "But you just absorbed my medallion."
"Can werewolves do that?" his confusion deepened.
"Of course not!" Debbie scoffed. She knew that he was not being sarcastic, but was genuinely clueless about the supernatural world.
Vincent's puzzled look was apparent as he stared at the medallion.
"How did I absorb it then, and what is this medallion? "

"An Original vampire?" he raised his eyebrows. He was familiar with that term but his memories about it were hazy.
"You see, the Originals are the first vampires to exist. They're incredibly powerful, and some say they're even immortal. But beyond that, I don't know much about them. My family has always kept their distance from the vampire community, so we don't have many connections." She paused, then continued.
"However, my Aunt might be able to answer some of your questions. She's been around for a long time and has had more contact with the supernatural world than the rest of us."
"Alright, let's go" he urged her .
"Whoa there, Speedy Gonzales," she said, holding up her hand to stop him.
"Before we hit the streets, you gotta learn to control that speed of yours. We can't have you zooming around town like that. You need to learn to move at a more leisurely pace." Her warning was firm, but her tone was laced with a hint of amusement.
"Okay," he said, nodding in agreement. He understood the importance of controlling his powers, especially in public places.
Debbie gestured to the large space around them.
"This room is pretty big, start practicing here," she suggested.
Vincent took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment, centering himself. He focused on slowing down his movements, trying to move as if he were walking instead of running. At first, he stumbled a bit, but soon he found a rhythm and was able to move around the room at a normal pace.
He spent the next half hour practicing his speed control, moving slowly and steadily around the room until he was able to move at a normal human pace without even thinking about it. Debbie watched him carefully, giving him tips and correcting his form when necessary.
Finally, after an hour of slow movements, he was able to fully master his newfound power. He could now control his speed effortlessly, moving at a normal pace when he wanted to and pushing himself to faster speeds when necessary.
"Good job, You're a quick learner." she said, impressed
"It's my instinct I guess ?" he replied with confidence.
"Don't boast too much or you will get bad karma" she teased
"By the way do you feel anything wrong with your body ?" she asked him , a hint of curiosity filled her face.
She could not help but notice that Vincent's once overpowering charisma had toned down considerably. It was strange, considering how much attention he used to attract. He was like a walking "aphrodisiac" before.
"Is there something wrong with me?" he asked, a hint of anxiety creeping into his voice.
"Relax, you're still very attractive. It's just that you're not releasing those ridiculously strong pheromones anymore." Debbie chuckled
"But that was my best superpower!" he replied with a joked, clearly not bothered by it.
They then both shared a laugh, relieved that Vincent's newfound strength wasn't affecting his sense of humor. Actually, he became more easy going for some reason.

The blazing sun hung high in the sky, casting a shimmering heat wave over the busy city streets below. Debbie and Vincent were determined to make the most of their day, and their destination lay ahead. They hailed a sleek black Uber and swiftly made their way to the car rental shop, eager to get their hands on the perfect vehicle for their travel.
Vincent's eyes lit up as he spotted the Ford Ranger Raptor, its glossy black exterior reflecting the sunlight in a mesmerizing way. He knew it would be the perfect choice for their trek through the mountains. They wasted no time in settling the paperwork and were soon on their way .
Their first stop was Target, where they hoped to find the perfect hiking gear and clothes for their adventure. Debbie led the way, her sharp eyes scanning the stores for the best equipment. Vincent followed close behind.
"Okay, so we need some sturdy boots, and maybe some waterproof jackets, just in case." Debbie said, scanning the shelves.
Vincent nodded, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the array of options in front of him. He picked up a hiking boot and examined it closely, trying to figure out if it was the right one for him.
Debbie noticed his confusion and stepped in to help.
"Here, let me show you something," she said, leading him over to another section of the store. "These ones are a bit more rugged, and they have a lot of ankle support."
Vincent tried on a few different pairs, walking around the store to get a feel for them. After some deliberation, he settled on a pair of waterproof boots with thick, grippy soles.
Next up were the jackets. Debbie helped him pick out a sleek black one that was both waterproof and breathable. They also grabbed a few pairs of thermal leggings and some woolen socks for the chilly nights in the mountains.
After a successful shopping trip, they loaded up the car with their supplies and set off towards their destination. The road ahead was long and winding, but they were filled with a sense of anticipation.
