As Nathan left the room, Vincent leaned back against his pillows, letting out a deep sigh. He knew that he had a lot to process, but for the first time in a while, he felt a sense of clarity. He needed to focus on healing, both physically and emotionally, and he couldn't do that if he was constantly chasing after something that wasn't meant to be.
Closing his eyes, he let out a slow breath, feeling the weight of his worries slowly melting away. He knew that it wouldn't be easy, but with time and the support of his friends, he was confident that he could get through this.
He tried to fall asleep, his mind racing with thoughts of Elaine and the news that Nathan had just delivered. Just as he was beginning to drift off, he heard something that sounded like a faint whisper.
"Devour."
His eyes snapped open, his heart racing. He sat up in bed, looking around the room for the source of the sound, but he couldn't find anything.
"What was that?" he muttered to himself, feeling a sense of unease creeping up on him.
He tried to brush it off, thinking that it was just his imagination playing tricks on him, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. He had a sense of curiosity, wanting to know more about what had just happened.
As he lay back down, he felt his mind wandering back to a secret that he had been keeping from Nathan. He had been hiding a vivid dream that he had experienced while he was in a coma. In the dream, he was someone called Fenrir, and he had lived a completely different life.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe closed his eyes and tried to recall the events that had happened to him in that dream. At first, the memories were hazy, but slowly, they began to come back to him. He remembered the fierce battles that he had fought, the friends that he had made, and the enemies that he had defeated.

"Lord Fenrir, the vampire Lord had summoned you," she said, bowing her head in respect.
"I am here, "Fenrir replied, his voice firm and steady.
The woman nodded, looking up at him with admiration.
"The vampire Lord wishes to speak with you. He has urgent news about the war," she spoke while motioning for him to follow her.
He followed the woman through winding corridors and up a grand staircase. The castle was immense, with soaring ceilings and massive columns, adorned with intricate carvings and elegant tapestries. The walls were lined with torches, casting a flickering orange light across the stone floor.
As they climbed the stairs, Fenrir caught glimpses of ornate doorways and grand halls, each one more impressive than the last.
Finally, they reached a set of double doors, flanked by two imposing guards. The woman nodded at them, and they swung the doors open, revealing a grand throne room.
The room was enormous, with a vaulted ceiling and grand chandeliers, sparkling with crystal and gold. The walls were adorned with tapestries and banners, each one depicting the vampire Lord's coat of arms. At the far end of the room sat a grand throne, flanked by two smaller chairs.
Fenrir's eyes were drawn to the throne, where the vampire Lord sat, his eyes narrowed and his expression unreadable. He was a tall, imposing figure, with pale skin and jet-black hair that fell in waves around his face. His eyes were a deep crimson, and his fingers were adorned with intricate gold rings.
The woman bowed deeply, her eyes fixed on the ground.
"My Lord, Lord Fenrir is here to see you," The woman spoke with a respectful tone.
"Lord Fenrir," the vampire Lord said, his voice low but menacing. "I have summoned you here because I have need of your skills. The war is not going well, and I fear that we are losing ground."
"What do you need me to do?" Fenrir asked with a hint of sadness in his voice.
The vampire Lord leaned forward, his eyes burning into Fenrir.
"I need you to lead your armies into battle. I need you to be the champion of our cause, to fight for what is right and just."
Fenrir felt a sense of confusion and doubt wash over him as he heard the vampire Lord's words. He knew that he had the power to lead the armies, but he wasn't sure if this was the right thing to do.

The vampire Lord's expression turned cold and his eyes narrowed.
"What do you mean?" he asked, his voice laced with anger. "This war is necessary to protect our people, to ensure our survival."
"I understand that, my Lord. But I can't help but wonder if there is another way. Is there no way to negotiate, to find a peaceful solution?"
The vampire Lord scoffed, his eyes flashing with anger.
"You are a fool, Lord Fenrir. There can be no peace with our enemies. They seek to destroy us, to wipe us out. We must fight back, with all our strength and all our power."
Fenrir felt a sense of sadness as he heard those words. He knew that he couldn't change the vampire Lord's mind, that he was committed to this war, no matter what.
"I'm sorry, my Lord. I cannot do this. I cannot lead an army in a war that I do not believe in,"Fernrir's voice was firm and resolute.
The vampire Lord glared at him, his eyes blazing with anger.
"Very well. You leave me no choice. You are hereby banished from this place, Fenrir. You are no longer welcome here. And you are no longer my friend"
Fenrir felt a sense of sadness and regret as he turned to leave. He knew that he had made the right decision, but it came at a great cost. He had lost his place in this world, his home, his friends, and his allies.
