Chapter 105 John embarrassed Justin on purpose

John was taken away by his mastro when he was only five years old; he had never gone to school. All

of his knowledge was taught by his mastro in the temple.

So, it was true that he said he had never attended school.

However, others misunderstood his answer.

Nick, Marcia and Justin were stunned for a moment, and then showed a look of contempt.

Especially Justin, he put on a superior smile.

Marcia sneered, “So you are an illiteracy?”

Although Queenie had told her not to make things difficult for John, she couldn’t cover up her disdain.

How could there was still someone who hadn’t gone to school?

Was it possible that he was too poor to afford the tuition?

But he had grew up in a welfare house! The staff there couldn’t teach him nothing!

There was only one explanation for his situation: he didn’t want to study at all, or he hadn’t put any

energy into it.

He deserved it!

Facing the mocking eyes of the three people, John didn’t get angry at all. Instead, he shook his head

and said, “No, I can recognize a few words.”

“Like fifty?”

Justin blurted out, but then he pretended to show his friendless, “Sorry for saying that, John. If I

offend you, please don’t take it to heart.”

Although he said with concern, his face was as sarcastic as that of Nick and Marcia.

How could Queenie not feel their contempt? When she was about to argue for John, a hand pinched

her thigh under the table.

She didn’t say a word as she knew it was John. But his hand moved upward, nearly reaching her

private part. Queenie tilted her head and glare at him.

“What are you doing, John? They are mocking you; you don’t choose to explain yourself but to touch

me?” She thought.

If it weren’t for the fact that there were other people present, Queenie would have grabbed John’s ear

and taught him a lesson.

Feeling her gaze, John withdrew his hand with an awkward smile.

In fact, he did so because he didn’t want Queenie to stand up for him.

However, in the eyes of Nick and the others, they thought that Queenie was glaring at John because

his ignorance embarrassed her.

What a ridiculous scene.

Justin’s face lit up. He thought there were more chances for him to win Queenie’s heart.

It seemed that what he only needed to do was humiliate John and deepened the dislike of Queenie

for him.

When he was immersed in his thoughts, John gave him an opportunity.

John said, “I know Mr. Bush is a top overseas student. I happen to have a few words that I can’t read.

Would you mind teaching me?”

As soon as these words came out, everyone present was confused.

Even Queenie looked at John in surprise and complained inwardly, “You little John, what’s wrong with

you? The topic is over. Why are you bringing it up?

“Why don’t you just go home and ask me if you have any question?”

She signed deeply.

Justin, on the other hand, fell silent for a moment and then said, “Ha ha, you can ask me anything you

don’t know. I’m willing to help you with that.”

He was in his 20s, but he had never met someone like John who was so ignorant that he chose to

humiliate himself!

Nick and Marcia also said, “Justin’s right. Being an illiteracy would do you no good. Justin could teach

you to read more words to improve your educational level.”

The couple beamed.

It was not that they had a better impression of John, but that it was obviously an opportunity to

trample on him to flatter Justin.

Most importantly, this opportunity was handed over to them by John himself. Queenie couldn’t pin

the blame on them.

They were really proud of themselves.

John stood up and walked out; he intended to get a piece of paper and a pen from the counter.

Queenie also wanted to follow him, but she was stopped by him.

Marcia held Queenie’s hands and said, “Queenie, it’s a good thing that John is willing to learn. Just

let him be!”

Queenie had to give up.

Two or three minutes later, John returned with a piece of paper in his hand.

“Mr. Bush, I only know how to write these words, but I don’t know how to spell them. I’ve wrote them on

this list. Would you please teach me how to pronounce them?”

“Ha ha, it’s my pleasure!”

Justin looked at John in smug satisfaction. But when he saw these words, his face turned livid at

once.

“Are you fucking kidding me?”

He stood up abruptly. He had been maintaining his demeanor throughout the day, but now, all his grace

disappeared. This idiot was teasing him!

Mr. and Mrs. Yeats were surprised to see him so angry. They looked at the paper and then, their face

changed slightly.

Queenie was disappointed at her parents‘ scornful attitude toward John at first, but when she saw

the words on the list, she couldn’t help but chuckle and cast a cold glance at John.

What a bad guy!

The other three people’s faces distorted in this awkward situation, especially Justin. His face was as

cold as the iceberg.

John pushed his luck. He teased, “You’re a top overseas student, right? I don’t think your cultural level

is much better than mine. Well, by the way, I know a girl named Shelly. Do you need me to introduce

her to you?”

He was referring to the international artist, Shelly Lee.

Justin’s expression was nearly out of his control. He glared at John, as if he wanted to swallow him

alive.
