He slowly raised his hand and gently knocked on the door.
"Come in." A deep voice rang out from the office.
Harry opened the door and then walked in, he took a minute to admire the beauty of the office before focusing on the man seated on the chair.
The agent was in a blue business suit, he had short blonde hair and appeared to be in his early forties.
"Good day." Harry greeted him.
The man stared at Harry for a few seconds, slightly surprised by his age. However, it didn't take long for him to recover his composure.
"Good day, how may I help you?" He asked.t
"Are you Mr Rey?" Harry asked. According to what the lady from the ground floor told him, he was supposed to meet a certain Mr Rey here, who was the agent.
"Yes, that's me, and you are…?" Mr Rey asked while also following up with a question.
"Harry," Harry replied.
"Okay, nice to meet you, Mr Harry." The man said with a slight smile on his face as he stood and offered his hand for a handshake.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHarry looked at the man's outstretched hand for a few seconds before finally returning the handshake. He then proceeded to seat on one of the two chairs in front of the agent.
Harry had expected some kind of attitude from the man, however, he was slightly surprised to meet such a polite person—most of the people he came across were anything but polite to him.
The both of them started discussions on the type of house Harry would like to rent.
After Mr Rey heard all of Harry's preferences, he brought out a tablet which was about nine inches long and six inches wide. He passed the tablet to Harry with a slight smile on his face.
Harry collected the tablet and started going through its content.
Different pictures of different buildings along with their surroundings were shown on the tablet, Harry kept on swiping through all of them in order to find the one that suited his taste.
After swiping through over ten building pictures, a slight gleam flashed through Harry's eyes as he finally found an apartment suitable for not just his comfort but also his quest completion.
"I think I'll go with this one." He said while passing the tablet back to the agent.
My Rey's brows furrowed slightly when he saw Harry's choice. He wasn't expecting him to choose an apartment in such location.
After Harry chose the apartment of his choice, the agent—Mr Rey, took him to where it was located.
Luckily, the apartment was only a few blocks away from the agency.
They arrived in front of a ten-storey building located in the middle of the second street, it was blue and white and was also supported by two pillars at each side.
Though it only had a few storeys, Its appearance was well-structured and didn't look too fancy or too poor.
As Harry observed his surroundings, he noticed that this part of the city was more like a suburb as it was mainly filled with residential buildings.
Compared to the centre of the city—where the magical academy was located—which was always bustling with activities, this place was more like a small quiet town.
Even though the area was quite far from the academy, Harry wasn't bothered about that. It was one of the main reasons he chose the apartment since he could easily complete the system's daily quests by running to the academy.
Besides, transportation made the distance seem useless, unlike the vehicles of the olden days(days before the world was introduced to mana), the vehicles of the current age were a lot more advanced and could cover great distances in minutes.
He could also get the chance to level up accelerate once more, the system said he could level up skills by using them frequently, so he definitely wouldn't pass on a chance to level up his skill.
Since the building was at the edge of the city, he could see a sparse forest divided by a well-tarred road that led to the borders of the city.
This was what made Mr Rey slightly surprised, the fact that Harry chose to live at the edge of the city, which wasn't as bustling or as developed as other parts of the city.
Since those who live in these parts were mostly normal humans who failed to gain an affinity and chose to rather live a normal 'human life' than become a combat mage, he felt it was an odd choice for a kid of Harry's age. However, he didn't put much thought into it, his client choice was none of his business.
The agent took him into the fourth apartment on the tenth floor and showed him how every room looked.
Harry just kept nodding his head in satisfaction, the apartment was just perfect for him.
There were six apartment on each floor, the only different floor was the tenth which had only four.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThere were two rooms in the apartment, along with a kitchen, bathroom and a well-spaced living room.
"Seventy–five thousand credits?" Harry asked.
"Yes." The agent replied.
The transaction was done in cash since Harry still didn't have a bank account. Although the agent was surprised, shocked even, that someone in this day and age didn't have a bank account when most things were done in digital format, he was kind enough to accept the payment in cash.
'Ahh… another thing I need to do… open a bank account.' Harry noted inwardly.
He then signed the documents before visiting a government agency around that area for proper documentation and access.
All these took some time as around three pm they were finally done with everything and Harry was finally given the key to the apartment.
The agent gave Harry a brief talk on the rules of staying in the vicinity before finally leaving.
"I'm finally free," Harry muttered to himself while heaving a sigh of relief.
"All I need to do is to shop for a few home appliances," Harry muttered.
The apartment was partially furnished, so it came with most of the basic appliances and pieces of furniture.
Even though it was more expensive than an unfurnished apartment, Harry still felt it was worth it since he didn't have to go through the stress of getting new furniture and also arranging them.
