Emergency calls only MO Chapter 94 * 093% 12:34 FD ‘The subscriber you have dialled is unavailable at present. Please try again later.” Ugh! That had got to be the ninth tthat | had heard the automated message ring in my ears after trying to contact Dante. He hadn’t been taking any of my calls and | couldn’t understand why. | knew that he was upset the night that | had left with Scott but surely he couldn't have been made about it for so long.
| needed to tell him what | had discovered about Scott and see if he had any idea about it. Not only did Taylor rat him out for having us followed and staging those pictures for her to snap and cook up in to a grand story the following morning, | had also discovered why my uncle never actually wanted him to join the company.
Maybe Dante didn’t know any thing about this. After all, if he did; he would have toldbefore hand and now leftin the dark about it especially considering that he was not particularly thrilled about Scott joining the company at all.
After knowing Scott's true motives, | couldn't think of any better decisions then to have him removed from the company as an investor but | needed to seek advice of if | could even do such a thing. | didn’t see why | wouldn't. | owned the company and Scott's intention was not at all pure and it never had been from the beginning.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt| paced the length of not only office but half way past Lucy’s desk and back several times. The reporters had not shown after the security caused a scury and | was relieved over that, to say the least.
O since this mornin “Oh, my go d. you have got to stop pacing. It is givinga headache.” Lucy threw her hands up tically from behind the desk. “What are you eve pacing for?” She asked in a clipped tone.
“You know all about it already. | don’t know what to do. Scott turned to be a villain when | least expected it and to think that | agreed to go with the man to dinner so that | could ask him for his support and aid to clear this out with the rest of stakeholders.” My irritation began to simmer every t| had thought about it.
| ran a hand through my hair feeling overwhelmed and a little lost. “I should have dug a little deeper when he approachedinitially. It always didn’t make sense why my uncle never accepted him as an investor but it does now.” It still annoyedthat | had not figured it out or had cto know about it sooner.
Lucy didn’t look up from the papers on her desk and paidhalf her attention. “I also didn’t think to snoop around him further myself. | knew about his superficial face but not his true self when it cto the company.” She mumbled tapping a pencil against the edge of her eye brow.
1/3 D93% 12:34 Chapter 94 FD “How would you have found out? Scott Vanderbilt was not seen as any thing but a light at the end of the tunnel that we so needed when we really didn’t. Little did | know that he wanted to undermine the company just so he could sn atch it fromwhen it had fallen to the ground.” | grit my teeth thinking of how conniving and sly he had been.
It was such a blessing that | had not been easily whisked away and infatuated with him based on his charm and fake persona that he had used to try and break past my borders and trick me. The entire situation could have been worse had | actually engaged in any sort of casual relations with him and never had | ever been more thankful to have been so stuck in my ways before.
Lucy wheeled her chair back like she was moving away from the folders on her desk to giveher undivided attention.
“But now you know about it all. The next question is what are you going to do about him? He can’t stay in the company when he has ill intentions for it. He can’t be trusted at all.” She said what | had already knew.
“That is a given. There is no way in hell | was going to let him be a part of this company knowing his unmasked face. | just needed to speak to Dante. He would know what to do.” | said more to myself than Lucy but the | shook my head. “except the man isn’t taking any of my dam n calls.” | nearly yelled and Lucy winced.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“He must be busy, Sophia. | can’t imagine Dante Crawford sotiing around waiting at this phone for your call.” She said sarcastically and | threw her a warning glare but she brushed it aside.
“You need to calm the heck down. The paparaz zi are no longer in sight. Go get sthing to eat and | will arrange a meeting with legal and you can discuss it with them when you get back. If Mr. Crawford happens to call, I will let you know.” Lucy orderedaround and | was not against her firm suggestion.
An hour later, | had my stomach full with well needed nourishment. My mood was calmer and | was able to think a bit more clearer which was good seeing as | walked in to my office with two head of legal seated in my office awaiting my arrival.
| couldn’t tell how long had passed but after speaking to the both of them it had becabundantly clear that they had sclue about my uncle’s dislike for Scott's joining the company or having him any where near it.
The information never failed to stun me. Each t| had heard it all | could think about what just how Scott had played the card of the helpless start up who was guided by my uncle who he had the highest regard and respect for but he left out the most important part being that he had openly challenged my uncle to steal the business right from beneath his nose and, by the look of it, he almost had been successful in his plan until | had cabout and the company was transfered to me.
2/3 3/3 093% 12:34 Chapter 94 FD Scotf probably had no clue that | knew exactly what he had been up to all this tand | couldn’t wait for him to be served with the notice that he was being expelled as a stakeholder for proof of defamation and ill intention.
He wouldn't take it lightly, | could guarantee that much neither would he own up to it. Not initially at least.
