"Mr. Fang, can you give me a few days off? My mum will be arriving City S tomorrow." Zhang Liling requested.
Mr. Fang didn't need to deliberate on it before agreeing.
Their relationship was getting better and better everyday.
"You are leaving tomorrow?" He asked.
"Yes, but I will come back to work as soon as she leaves for Paris," She promised with a smile.
Mr. Fang nodded in understanding with a neutral look on his face. But then, he remembered something and moved his gaze back to her face.
"You said you were interested to work in Fang Group, have you sent in your application already?"
"Of course, I wouldn't miss the earliest opportunity. I sent in the application 2 weeks ago." Zhang Liling replied with a proud smile.
She knew there was much competition on the number of people that sent in their application every year, so she would most definitely, work on her timing.
It was possible to not get in even with her first class, so she couldn't rely on it and do as she wanted.
"You can leave." Mr. Fang said to her before shifting his gaze away.
Zhang Liling turned to leave with a smile but she remembered about her graduation ceremony and couldn't help asking for his presence.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Mr. Fang, will you attend our graduation ceremony in 3 days?"
That sudden question, reminded Mr. Fang of the request that was brought to him from NYU. They had asked for his help in giving out awards on that day but he was still yet to accept it.
"I'm not sure. I don't have any close family member that I would sacrifice my time for." He replied with his gaze on her.
Zhang Liling heard that and immediately ran back to his desk. "Mr. Fang can you come? Your presence would be a huge moral support to me. Apart from my mother and Tungmei, I don't have any other person."
Instead of replying to her, he asked her a question that threw her off balance. "Who should I come to your graduation ceremony as? We are not dating are we?"
Zhang Liling threw her cap out for him. He really should be given an award for the best savage commenter.
Must he remind her that they were not dating yet? He seemed to like rubbing it on her face, and now, she couldn't wait for them to start dating already, so she would take the slight revenge on him.
Before leaving his study, Zhang Liling told him to try to come on that day.
"Mr. Fang, if you have some time to spare, please come for my graduation ceremony."

The morning of the next day after breakfast Zhang Liling packed some of her essentials and left Mr. Fang's villa for her place.
Butler Gu and Ms. Chu were aware she was taking a few days off from work.
Her graduation ceremony was also coming up, and they also wished her to have a good day and to come back to the villa soon.
Going back to her apartment in the car Mr. Fang sent to send her back, made Zhang Liling more happy then ever.
The driver helped to send her luggage to her door before turning to leave, and she was all smiles while thanking him before he got into the elevator.
'It will be more fulfilling to be Mr. Fang's woman,' Zhang Liling thought to herself with a big smile plastered on her face before keying in the password to her apartment, and stepping inside while pulling her luggage.
Glancing at her neat and cozy apartment, she felt glad for calling the housekeeper over to clean up the house very early.
After tidying up a few more things in her bedroom, she called Tungmei out for shopping.
Her double-door sized refrigerator was empty, so she needed to buy groceries and a lot of stuff otherwise, her mother would query her.
Thankfully, Tungmei was free to accompany her, and both of them met outside the grocery store.
That morning, Zhang Liling spent a lot of money. After taking everything back to the house to arrange them, she took Tungmei out for lunch.
"Liling, I think you should learn how to cook. You waste a lot of money on eating out."
Tungmei glanced at the food before them and picked up her spoon.
Zhang Liling shook her head with a smile. "I haven't eaten out for the past few weeks."
"How many weeks is the 'few'?" Tungmei asked as she sent a spoon of food into her mouth.
"Some days above 2 weeks." Zhang Liling said and went back to eating.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmTungmei didn't say anything anymore, and besides, the food was spicy, it's not like she wanted to suffer the aftermath of not observing the good eating habits.
After eating, Zhang Liling checked the time on her phone before turning to ask Tungmei, "I would be going to the airport to pick my mum, will you like to tag along?"
Tungmei smiled happily and was about to say YES but changed her mind the next second.
The smile fell off her face as she explained, "I would have loved to come with you, but you and your mother need some alone time together, also, she needs to get enough rest. If she doesn't mind, I will come to your place tomorrow."
"You really thought things through, but my mother would not have minded any of it." Zhang Liling replied with a smile before going on to ask about her parents.
"...are they coming for the graduation ceremony?"
To that question, there was a hint of annoyance to Tungmei's smile.
"My mum and my brother are coming over with my Dad. I'm happy about it, but I hope that I don't get an earful from them."
"I understand..."
A few minutes later, Zhang Liling and Tungmei parted ways before the former took a cab straight to the airport to wait for her mother.
While waiting at the arrival, she remembered Mr. Fang and smiled instinctively. She was already missing not seeing his face.
She went to her contact list and found his number before clicking on it. She had wanted to call him, but as that wouldn't be an appropriate timing, she decided to send him a text.
'Mr. Fang, it's Zhang Liling. Have you had lunch yet?'
After sending the text out, she smiled to herself.
