"That boy dared to threaten me with his mother!" Zhang Liling revealed angrily, making it possible for Zhang Mingyu and Mikayla to hear her fading loud voice from the office.
Sensing the level of her riled up emotions, Tungmei hurriedly led her out.
"You have to control your anger. Take in deep breaths and tell me why he would mention his mother. Since when did his guts grow that big?"
Tungmei was surprised that Zhang Mingyu would threaten her after maybe being caught doing something bad in the office.
Shouldn't he have pleaded with her not to talk, or has he forgotten how to do that?
"Oh. He doesn't have the guts yet," Zhang Liling started a d then went on to explain what transpired inside the office, as they walked ahead.
"I see...There is no need getting angry over mentioning his mother. That only shows that you scared the hell out of him, and he had no choice than to resort to any means to get you to keep your mouth shut.
"I bet he didn't know the right way to." Zhang Liling said, allowing her to lead her toward the elevator.
"Are you going to tell on him?" Tungmei inquired while giving her the side glance as she pressed the elevator button.
Walking into the open arms of the elevator, Zhang Liling confirmed the floor they were going to and pressed on the button before replying.
"No I won't, but I will make him be on his toes." She promised with tightly squeezed eyes.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe was very furious with Zhang Mingyu's method of dealing with things and added to the fact that he was in fact not her true half-brother, she wanted to deal with him.
Seeing how he had the guts to threaten her in that manner with his scam of a mother when he was a fake, she so badly wanted to blow up his face into minced garlic.
How befitting he would look then.

"Mingyu, I'm so scared." Mikayla said as she swallowed constantly while still trying to hold her shirt together.
Hearing that, Zhang Mingyu left his trance a d turned his head to the side to meet her gaze.
"If you are frightened, what should I do?"
He was actually trying to ask her who should be in the position to be scared because he felt he was the one.
If his strict father found out what he has been up to, he might be suspended from the company, and that would be very embarrassing.
Also, his dear mother would make the house unliveable for him because she has been all about his progress in the shortest possible amount of time.
She was not even satisfied with his manager position, and wanted him to move straight to the President position by skipping the director and Vice positions.
Not just that, she wanted him to marry from a wealthy a d influential family to gain more power and support for himself, so imagine his dull-brain acts were discovered...
He would be finished.
Mikayla got so scared with his attitude that she quickly started to button her shirt, but she was far too scared to do such a simple task within a minute.
She literally fiddled with the buttons, thus, provoking Zhang Mingyu the more.
The young man was just a second away from letting his nerve snap, but because of the kind of relationship they had, and the little affection he shared with her, he held himself back from scolding her.
All he could do at that moment was to look away and take proper care of his image.
Finally when Mikayla was done, she picked up the files she came with and brought them in front of him to get his signature.
Look at those files that was an excuse for them to meet, Zhang Mingyu who had just picked up his pen, slammed it on the files, instantly startling her.
"Go and come back later," he instructed without an explanation.
All Mikayla could do, was to leave as suggested with different thoughts running through her head.
What could be the reason he asked her to leave without the files?
Was he trying to find another excuse for them again during office work hours?
Was he still thinking about making out again?

As soon as they arrived at the almost empty floor with only a few offices in it, Tungmei announced their arrival.
"On this floor, we have the President and Vice-president offices, plus their personal assistant's office on this side." Explaining further, she added while nodding to her right.
"And on my right, we have the executive large meeting room for the board of directors, and a smaller room for meeting with VVIP investors and partners."
All this time she was explaining things to her, Zhang Liling paid rapt attention with a look of interest.
"How do you know about this, have you been up here before?" She asked as she slowly shifted her gaze to her.
She was a bit surprised with her knowledge as not all employees of Zhang Corp was given the privilege to reach that floor, more so, interns.
"How could I have even here before? It's all thanks to you that I could go up to this floor otherwise, the security guards would have dragged me away." Tungmei quickly explained with a ridiculous expression on her face, causing a smile to appear on Zhang Liling's face.
The young lady has already slowly recovered from her point of extreme anger.
"Alright, I think I can take it from here," She said, slowly reaching for the box which Tungmei handed over without wasting time.
"O ha e been gone from my desk for a while, and I need to see how Mikayla is faring, the poor girl might not be having it easy after shocking her with your entrance." Tungmei said in a quiet chuckle.
If not for the fact that her senses were still intact, she could ha e laughed to her heart's content, but where she was, was very much inscribed on her brain.
