Chapter 1169 Something Has Happened In Zaewora
This scene is a rare sight indeed. The domineering captain is jealous, behaving childishly, and picking fights with two
ladies.
“That's enough. Eat your food, everyone.” Glancing at Sabrina and Naomi, Ashlyn asked, “Naomi, are you adjusting
well at the film academy?”
Naomi gave a slight nod. After taking the national exams in the summer and getting accepted into the film
academy, she had been living on campus.
The film academy was in Jadeborough, so she did not return to Lake City often. She had returned to the academy
after the Heroes' League world championship had ended and she had finished serving as a guest performer that
day.
However, Lucas had given her this address, and sure enough, she hurried back as soon as it was the weekend.
Grinning, she replied, “My classmates are all incredibly beautiful and handsome! Our lecturers are also very

Once she started talking, she began enthusiastically sharing endless stories about her life on campus.
“Some of your classmates are my fans... It's really making me feel embarrassed.”
“Oh! I came back today with a mission.” Naomi rubbed her hands together and quickly pulled a large pile of
notebooks out of her backpack. She placed them in front of Ashlyn and even handed the latter a pen.
“What's that for?” Sabrina asked, looking at her in confusion.
“Oh my! Don't you know? My sister-in-law is really impressive. Who wouldn't want her autograph?” Turning to
Ashlyn with an ingratiating expression, Naomi continued, “When My Virgo was released last year, all the young
people knew about you!”
Some older folks might not know her, but nearly all the young people know her name.
“Don't do things like this in the future,” said Ashlyn, torn between amusement and exasperation. Nonetheless, she
did not refuse and signed her name without hesitation.
Naomi gathered the notebooks gleefully, then looked up and found herself staring straight at Lucas' darkened face
again. Her expression stiffened. “Why are you scowling again?”
Lucas could not help thinking that there were just too many obstacles on his path to winning his wife back. So, it
turns out there's a bunch of young ladies in the academy fangirling over my wife?
Just then, Spencer's phone rang.
He answered the call, and his expression changed instantly. “What did you say?”
Lucas narrowed his eyes at him. “What happened?”
“Mr. Nolan, we were originally going to sell the new energy we're developing to Zaewora, including some remote
areas and countries. However, Maxim just called and said something has happened in Zaewora,” Spencer explained
anxiously.
With that, the lunch ended on a sour note.
Lucas hastily left with Spencer, Sabrina, and the others to convene an emergency meeting.
At that moment, Ashlyn also received a message.
She replied: All right. Got it.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmShe looked at the address the other party had sent over. Zaewora again... That place is truly a hotspot for
unfortunate incidents.
As night fell and shrouded everything in darkness, stars twinkled in the sky.
Ashlyn sat at the desk in her bedroom. In front of her was a silver-white laptop, and her fingers danced swiftly
across the keyboard.
It was late at night when Lucas finally returned home. No sooner had he stepped through the door than he said,
“Let's do the marriage registration when I get back. I've to go to the Zaewora tomorrow. Will you come with me?”
She closed her laptop, her gaze flickering slightly. “Perfect. I was just about to make a trip to Zaewora myself.”
Early the following morning, amid the gently swirling morning mist, a black car emerged from the gates of Section
Six.
Ashlyn was nestled in Lucas' arms, watching the scenery outside the car window slowly go by.
“Sleep a little longer if you're tired,” a calm voice murmured behind her. Then, a strong arm wrapped around her
slender waist, lifting her entire body into a warm and comforting embrace.
Even though he held her in such an intimate manner, Ashlyn showed no signs of discontent. She met his piercing
gaze and asked, “Are we going to the airport?”
“Mm-hmm,” he hummed softly as he gazed at her beautiful face, stroking her silky hair with his large hand from
time to time.
