Chapter 1341 Not Hurt Each Other Anymore
Sally paused for a moment, then said with a clear and crisp voice, “I attended a military academy, so no one dared
to pursue me. I have no idea what it feels like to receive love letters and roses.”
As for why Armand was angry, she couldn't possibly know.
Genevieve said, “Even if Ethan wasn't by your side back then, with your skills, no one would dare to chase after you.
For others, falling in love takes time, but for you, falling in love could cost a life.”
Sally couldn't help but laugh.
The staff at the holiday resort brought the barbecue equipment, along with various types of meat and vegetables,
to the courtyard where Armand and his friends were staying an hour early.
The courtyard has a natural hot spring, so it's not very cold.
Armand put on his apron, took out the meat from the box, and cut it into pieces before marinating it. Soon, he
would skewer the pieces for grilling. Cooper, having nothing else to do, came over to help him.

Over there, Amanda wanted to play 'tag'. Genevieve took on the role of the tagger and chased a few kids around,
causing Amanda to burst into continuous giggles and shrieks of laughter.
Despite Asel's short legs, she quickly followed behind her sister, holding onto her clothes.
Armand placed a large piece of lamb on the cutting board, and with a few swift strokes, he sliced it into evenly thick
pieces. Cooper watched in admiration and remarked, “No wonder you're a man who spends his time in the kitchen;
your knife skills are truly impressive.”
He had been learning from a renowned chef for quite some time, but all he could do was fry a beef patty and make
a sandwich.
“Didn't you hear what others say? To capture a woman's heart, you must first capture her stomach.” At a family
gathering, Armand didn't hold back and spoke his mind.
Cooper laughed and said, “You really did it, and you've won over the stomachs of both kids too.”
“What were you doing with Genev this afternoon?” Cooper asked while cleaning oysters, glancing at the busy
Armand. “Did you have another disagreement?”
Armand said casually, “I've encountered her admirer.”
After hearing Armand talk about the card room, Cooper raised his eyebrows and said, “Oh, you mean that one? I've
seen that crystal ball rose before, and it's indeed quite beautiful.”
When Genevieve initially threw the unopened item into the trash, the housekeeper, fearing that Genevieve might
have accidentally discarded something important, retrieved it and handed it to her. Genevieve opened the box and
took a glance inside, then asked the housekeeper to throw it away again.
“So, you're angry about this?” Cooper asked.
“No,” Armand's eyebrows furrowed tightly, “She also thought that the gift her old classmate made by hand was
very romantic, and she regretted not opening the box to take a look back then.”
Cooper thought that Genevieve wouldn't say such things to Armand, but if it wasn't true, Armand wouldn't get
jealous and angry.
“It's not me who's saying this,” Cooper placed the washed oysters on the tray as he lectured, “You're a man close to

about?”
“Where has your maturity and steadiness gone?”
Armand said expressionlessly, “Getting jealous is a natural instinct, regardless of age. And don't laugh at me.
Weren't you angry when Sally initially treated you as a substitute for Ethan?”
Cooper looked at him, “How do you know? Did she tell you?”
“Have you never met Ethan, and you think I haven't either?” Armand said, “When you first made a deal with her, I
had a rough idea.”
Cooper let out a deep sigh, “Let's not hurt each other anymore, it's so pointless.”
As the two were chatting, Sally walked over with a cup of watermelon juice in hand, just in time to hear Cooper's
question, “How did you two hurt each other?”
“Not a big deal,” Cooper said, “Let me have a sip of the watermelon juice, I'm a bit thirsty.”
Sally held the cup to Cooper's lips, and he took a few sips of the iced watermelon juice through the straw. Noticing
the sweat on his forehead, Sally casually wiped it for him.
For the first time, Armand felt that they were truly annoying.
Sally glanced at Genevieve, who was playing with the children nearby, and then said to the two of them, “Someone
is looking for Silas in Kille.”
