Chapter 814
Timothy noticed her eyes were red, while the child's body was flushed.
“Asel is having a higli fever.” At a glance, Timothy recognized the child's symptoms. He took her from Johanna's
arms and loosened her clothes a little. “Let's go to the hospital.”
Johanna did not even think about how he had entered the house. She was only concerned about the child. Hence,
she swiftly followed him to the hospital.
Timothy kept looking at the rearview mirror whenever he heard Asel cry. Though he was anxious, it was raining,
and the road was slippery, so he did not speed.
Upon arriving at the hospital, Timothy hurried to the emergency room with the child to find his doctor friend.
Timothy used to work in the cardiac surgery department of General Hospital, and now he had become a major
shareholder of the establishment. The doctor did not dare neglect Timothy's child when he saw Asel suffering from
a high fever.
With the doctor's help, Asel's high fever subsided after three minutes, and she stopped crying as she began to

Only then did Timothy feel relieved.
Considering that it was raining, and the weather was cold, he asked the doctor for a VIP ward.
Entering the ward, Timothy placed the child on the bed.
He turned around and saw that Johanna's eyes were red and swollen. He recalled that when they were in the car
earlier, Johanna shed tears as well upon hearing her daughter's painful cries.
Timothy went to the restroom to get hot water from the bathtub. After soaking a towel in the hot water, he was
about to wipe Asel's face when Johanna took the towel from his hand. She simply wiped Asel's face and hands
before removing her shoes and climbing into the bed.
She lay beside her daughter, totally ignoring Timothy.
Timothy felt upset. However, seeing that Johanna did not send him away, he gingerly went to the front of the bed
and sat down.
Johanna kept gazing at Asel, afraid that her fever would come back. “You get some sleep,” he whispered. “I'll watch
over her. She'll be fine.”
Johanna's expression was indifferent as she continued to ignore him.
Finally, perhaps due to being so worn out, she did fall asleep.
Timothy got up quietly and covered her with the blanket, that had slid downward, properly.
Johanna's head was tilted out of the pillow, almost against her daughter's face. They both slept in a similar peaceful
sleeping position as if they were carved out of the same mold. The scene made Timothy's heart melt.
With his fingers, he gently brushed the hair from Johanna's cheek behind her ear and could not help lowering his
head to kiss her gently on the cheek.
Ever since that incident, he had not seen Johanna and Asel for nearly two months.
Johanna seldom went out, and servants bought her daily necessities. Moreover, she was always busy in the studio,
so when he parked his car outside her small house, he still could not see Johanna. Occasionally, he could see the
nanny holding the child in the garden to bask in the sun.
This time, when Lucian and Amanda celebrated their birthday, Timothy knew that he would spoil things for them if
he attended the party, so he sent his gifts through Cooper instead.
If not for Asel's high fever and the housekeeper for letting him in, he would not have had the opportunity to see this

When Johanna woke up, she saw Asel playing with a lock of her hair while looking at her with her onyx-like eyes.
“Naughty child, you're hurting me by pulling at my hair.”
She kissed the child's chest several times, making her giggle and sway her hands and feet.
Picking up the mobile phone that was placed on the cabinet, Johanna checked the time, noting that it was eight
o'clock.
Asel normally felt hungry at night, but this time, after the fever went down, she slept all night without crying for
food.
Johanna felt troubled, but when she saw the baby formula cans, baby bottles, and a water dispenser on the round
table in the distance, she understood what had happened.
She did not know when Timothy had left, but he was no longer in the ward.
Johanna got up and went to the restroom to freshen up. Then, she wiped the child's face and hands with a hot towel
and picked her up from the bed to change her clothes.
As she packed up and was about to leave with her daughter, there was a knock on the door.
The visitor had no intention of waiting for a response but entered immediately after knocking.
The visitor was a woman with an attractive physique and beautifully painted eyebrows. She seemed gentle and
graceful, with a scholarly air about her.
Johanna glanced over at her and uttered calmly, “You don't look like a patient, so I guess you want to see me.”
