Chapter 817
Hector stared at Johanna, realizing that after he was overseas for a few months, the woman seemed even colder
toward Timothy. Did they fight again?
“Asel is so cute!” Hector could not help but smile when he saw Asel's adorable face.
“Can I carry her?” he asked Timothy.
When he stretched out his arms to take Asel from Timothy's arms, she hugged Timothy's neck tightly. It was
obvious how resistant she was.
Immediately, Timothy felt much better. My daughter knows how to make me look good.
“I'm sorry, but my daughter clings to me a lot. She doesn't want to leave me,” replied Timothy in a slightly proud
tone. “If you like children, why don't you marry earlier and let your wife have one for you?”
Johanna suddenly asked Hector, “Hector, how many girlfriends have you had?”
Even though he was puzzled, he replied, “Three.”

“Kinda.” After thinking about it, Hector added, “I met my first girlfriend at university and dated her for two years.
Then I dated my second and third girlfriends for three years each. However, we broke up because we were
pursuing different things.”
“Looks like you treat each girlfriend seriously and put your heart into each relationship,” stated Johanna, sighing. “If
only I met you back then.”
Hector revealed a sympathetic look. “Yeah. We were from the same university. If I paid more attention to girls and
discovered such an interesting person like you, I wouldn't have passed you up.”
Knowing that Johanna was comparing Hector to himself, Timothy felt gloomy.
He wanted to rebuke and say that he was better than Hector, but in the past, he had followed his guts rather than
his heart when it came to relationships. It was true that he was not as serious as Hector.
Meanwhile, after Genevieve washed up, she walked out of the bedroom, seeing the two kids eating breakfast in the
dining hall.
“Where's Uncle Cooper?”
“He hasn't come yet.” Amanda shoved a bagel into her mouth and chewed delightfully.
When Genevieve walked over, she noticed the sumptuous breakfast laid out on the table. There were some beef
tacos and oatmeal on the side.
With narrowed eyes, she glanced at her son.
“Mr. Sullivan sent them in the morning.” Lucian was eating much more elegantly than Amanda. “There's a matcha
crepe cake too. I put it in the fridge.”
Genevieve was wondering why Cooper was not there, even though he wanted to deliver breakfast over and pick up
the kids.
If Cooper did something so romantic, like sending gifts and cooking delicious food to make her happy in the past,
her heart might have melted, and she would not have held a grudge against him. However, things were different
now.
Her grudge toward him for disappearing for a few months was still there.

know her.
That made Genevieve want to rip Cooper's head off.
Amanda swallowed her food and asked Genevieve with bright eyes, “Mommy, Uncle Cooper's bringing us
Disneyland today! Do you want to go with us?”
Since she was quite free, she was about to agree when someone called her.
“Ms. Genevieve, I'm from Lovely Heart Hotel.” A female voice sounded from the other end. “May I know if Mr. Harry
Hompton is your friend?”
Genevieve stopped eating. “What's wrong with him?”
“Well, when our cleaners were tidying the room in the morning, they noticed Mr. Harry looked quite ill as if he was
having a high fever. We delivered some medicine to him, but he refused to eat them. If anything happens to him in
the hotel, we cannot bear the consequences. Hence, we have no choice but to call you.”
Feeling her headache, Genevieve asked the receptionist to transfer the call to Harry's hotel room, but it was not
answered. When she called Harry's personal number, he did not answer either.
She tried it again, but it was still unanswered. Genevieve then threw the phone down.
What the hell is he doing?
