Cynthia was playing with Keller and Desmond. Seeing Mrs. Lewis come back, she pulled her aside and

asked in a low voice. “Did she have the soup yet?”

Mrs. Lewis shook her head. “Miss Arnett was afraid that I would put medicine in the soup, and she

threw the soup on the ground.”
