107 Chapter 107 At Least The Idiot Is Delicious
Having finished the shower with great difficulty, Desmond was forced to dry his body depending on one hand as he continued to curse the tiger he had brutally murdered just over an hour ago.
Wearing one of the changes of clothes that he carried in his backpack, Desmond had another moment of difficulty when he tried to get dressed, but by this point, he was tired of speaking ill of the dead so he just silently endured the pain while he got dressed.
Coming out of the bathroom, Desmond brought his armor and weapons downstairs hoping things with Sasha weren’t too awkward; After all, he does not have much experience in dealing with women with whom he has been intimate since he had never spent more than one night with a woman or, failing that, he only shared the night with said woman.
To Desmond’s surprise, he was unable to find Sasha anywhere in the house, he even had the nerve to go look for the girl in her bedroom, but found nothing but Sasha’s wet clothes on the floor.
For some reason this instead of reassuring Desmond only made him more concerned about the attitude of the alchemist, trying to calm her mood a bit; Desmond made his way into the kitchen and made some tea from the herbal blend Sasha had used the day before.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt′′ Hell since when did I become so sensitive to what a woman thinks of me besides Claire of course. . . Could it be that I became a little attached to this girl? Damn, I wish relationships were easier, forget it, I’ll just follow the natural course of things and I’ll worry about the details later. ′′
Sitting now carefree on a sofa while he enjoyed his cup of tea, Desmond’s only current complaint was that the tea made by Sasha tasted much better than the one made by himself; Although he did not find this strange after all he himself knew that he did not really possess many talents in the culinary art or any other type of art for a change, his current achievements in any artistic discipline including cooking were mainly due to his methodical and detailed form to do things more than to a real talent in that discipline.
In that sense, Desmond was capable of making a delicious cake by following a recipe to the letter, but he was unable to improvise any dish in the real sense, even when cooking with magical ingredients from another world. the ones he was familiar with and prayed to the goddess of fortune that the resulting dish would be edible.
In the course of reflecting on his lack of artistic skills, Desmond recalled that there was really only one thing he was good at in terms of art, but it had been many years since he had the opportunity to use that skill.
.....
′′ I doubt that I will find one of “those” around here and such things have long since lost their popularity in my world, now only the rich and powerful have the time or the resources to waste time on things like art. . . to hell at the first chance I get I’ll get one and have it at home to use whenever I please. ′′
Having made clear a goal for the future Desmond continued to drink his cup of tea with great reluctance when a noise outside attracted his attention.
Leaving the house with a cup still half full of tea in hand, Desmond followed the sounds to the back of the cabin where he found Sasha working on the corpse of the creeping tiger, she had a silver knife carved with runes that seemed to cut with great ease even the toughest parts of the tiger.
Somewhat curious about the work of the alchemist, Desmond ended up staying to watch the girl work while he finished her cup of tea, Sasha who did not seem to notice Desmond’s presence because she was too busy in her work cut both horns of the tiger, thus like the spikes and other pieces of robust bark that protruded from the tiger’s body.
′′ What do you need those for? ′′ Driven by curiosity Desmond asked a question out loud completely forgetting that the situation between him and Sasha at this moment was a little bit delicate.
′′ The horns I plan to use as auxiliary material in the improvement of your bow, as for the rest, I have no particular use for it; it’s just that I’m used to collecting all the materials starting from the outside. . . ′′ At first, Sasha who was still very focused on her work seemed to answer out of inertia but when she noticed Desmond’s presence her face turned a crimson red that seemed to cover her entire body quickly while her words stopped in her tracks when just like her actions.
′′ are you OK? ′′Desmond asked sincerely concerned about the blushing alchemist’s state of mind.
But Sasha didn’t seem to hear him when she turned around and without answering continued working on the creeper tiger.
Desmond continued to watch her for a moment with a bitter smile until he decided it was better to wait inside the house until the girl left to chat with her, but before he finished turning around, Sasha’s voice interrupted her actions.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm′′ taking. ′′ Only one word was said by Sasha who was now reaching out her hand with a large piece of tiger meat in it.
′′ This is? ′′ Desmond said who clearly knew that it was meat that Sasha was holding in her hand, but he was completely unaware of the girl’s intention to perform such action.
′′ The meat is full of energy and nutrients, it will help you regain your strength and heal your wounds so maybe you should prepare something to eat with it; don’t worry it’s incredibly delicious. ′′ Sasha expressed her intentions this time using more than one word.
Seeing that Sasha didn’t seem to want to bring up the subject of the kiss, but she still had the energy to care for her well-being, Desmond felt a little warm in her heart at this awkwardly in love girl; he of course he did not forget to insult the tiger thinking how the idiot at least it was delicious.
′′ Thank you, I guess I’ll make something quick so we can eat soon,′′ Desmond said taking the meat and turning towards the house, but halfway there he stopped and added.
′′ By the way, they were delicious. ′′ He said with a cheeky smile that Sasha couldn’t see from where she was.
′′ what thing? ′′ Sasha asked naively and intrigued.
′′ your lips. ′′ And with those words Desmond retired to the cabin to cook, dedicating only a quick glance to Sasha to see her reddened body tremble with shame, then with a smile that asked for a beating I enter the house calmly.
Sasha who was left behind with her mind in a mess could only say one thing in a belated response to Desmond’s cheeky statement.
′′ You can try them again whenever you want ′′ She said that with a smile that anyone would identify as the smile of a girl in love and satisfied as she briefly recalled the romantic moment she had with Desmond just minutes ago, But any supernatural forces (according to herself) that prompted her to say such words were buried by the tremendous amount of shame and shyness that came back to overwhelm Sasha completely.
