109 Chapter 109 Improvement of the fox-gentle bow
(Sasha POV)
As a disciple of a great alchemist and an accomplished alchemist myself, the laboratory where I carried out the vast majority of my work was filled with all kinds of equipment for various purposes, from basic distillation equipment to high-end mana infusion devices for compound purification.
Today I was going to use much of my more sophisticated equipment to improve Desmond’s bow, who was on his way here to observe the process.
′′ Here you go, try not to break it ′′ When he gave me the bow Desmond couldn’t help but joke about the fate of his favorite weapon; This man can seriously be carefree at times.
′′ Don′t worry I′m not going to break it. ′′ I said confidently as I took the bow.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe first step of the process was actually quite simple, at least in its implementation, all you had to do was immerse the bow in a container filled with the solution intended to revitalize it.
The most difficult part was refining the solution and its subsequent distillation, which, due to the amount required to submerge a piece the size of Desmond’s bow, took a significant amount of time.
Once you have allowed the bow to sink into the clear container filled with a semi-clear amber solution, wait until it has settled in the middle of the solution depth to continue with the next phase of this particular step of the process improvement.
Now to activate the solution I needed to energetically charge it with a large amount of vital mana, so I brought with me four concentrated mana emitters designed by my master for that purpose; their appearance was quite crude actually as they were basically four small metal towers with a large number of runic carvings on them.
.....
At the top of the towers, there was a setting where mana crystals of the desired nature were placed for later use, in this case, take four amber vital mana crystals and place them in the emitters.
Using my wand to activate them, the four emitters each fired a concentrated mana beam into the container where Desmond’s bow was located, this process should continue until the solution in the container completely loses its color and becomes transparent in its color. whole.
The process took at least half an hour to complete and depleted at least half the energy of those expensive mana crystals, I can only thank my master for leaving a gigantic endowment of certain materials like this in the vault of the hut.
By deactivating the mana emitters, it was now possible to observe Desmond’s bow calmly floating in the transparent solution now emitting a faint golden glow while some parts of it seemed to throb very slightly.
The next step was intended to provide the real upgrade to the bow by taking advantage of its current state. To do this, remove all the now inert solution from the tank and remove the bow to make a few small modifications that would help to magnify the effect of the process.
Taking two pieces of wood in the form of small blades that were destined to be inserted in the body of the bow at a small distance from the upper and lower limbs respectively and around the handle of the same where the arrows were placed; This detail in practical terms was more of the ornamental type than combat type but it would catalyze the energy infusion process because it shared origin with the main material of the enhancement serum which was the heart of the dark edge tiger creeper.
By slowly inserting the pseudo-bone wood blades into the bow body of a slightly lighter color than these, I had to stimulate the insertion area with the mana emitters to cause forced assimilation of the blades by the bow.
In a sense this was similar to creating a hybrid plant species through grafting, only taken to a higher and more complex level involving elaborate alchemical processes; but in essence that was what he was doing with this part of the process.
Once the assimilation was complete and I was able to make sure there was no rejection, I proceeded to pour a second solution into the large transparent container that I had used earlier, only this solution was a strange reddish-green color and brimming with wood-type mana in combination with bloody vital mana all this product of the heart used as the main material.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe bow was placed back into the solution, only this time before it even finished sinking into it, it began to visibly absorb the solution in which it was submerged.
This took me a bit by surprise as this phenomenon was not supposed to occur at this level of intensity, not at least before I replaced the mana crystals in the emitters with wood-type mana crystals and used them to stimulate the process.
With no time to consider or modify my current plan, I could only rush to reset the mana emitters now with wood-like crystals to help stimulate the absorption and enhancement process that the bow was going through.
This part of the process should take longer than the previous one, but for some reason probably related to the change in the expected energetic absorption level of the bow, in less than five minutes the solution had been completely emptied; even the mana crystals in the emitters had been fully drained.
In the now-empty container, it was resting quietly at the bottom, Desmond’s bow looking slightly different from what he had previously brimmed with a sense of power.
I took a few seconds to watch him carefully before turning around to see Desmond’s reaction, but I found him pointing at the bow with some kind of rune-carved stone tablet, and before I asked him about his behavior I was greeted by an unexpected but well-received reaction from him.
′′ Sasha, it’s great, you really are an exceptional alchemist. ′′ He said with enthusiasm as he approached me to quickly take me in his arms, as soon as they finished surrounding my waist in a way that frankly made my legs weak; Desmond gave me a fervent kiss on the lips and did not release me until he enjoyed myself for who knows how long.
And then. . . The truth is that I don’t remember what happened next, I only know that by the time I came out of my daze and infatuation, Desmond already had his new and improved bow in hand as he went to hug me again; what else could a helpless maiden like me do than accept another passionate kiss from him reluctantly as my heart threatened to leap out of my chest.
It’s not like being kissed by Desmond is the best feeling in the world or something. . . it definitely is not. . . it probably isn’t. . . Well maybe it is, who cares, I’ll just enjoy the moment.
