Chapter 110 Where Do I Stay
When Eileen woke up, it was already the weekend of the following day. It felt as if she had experienced
a catastrophe in her dreams. The pajamas she wore were almost soaked, and her body was burning
up like a furnace.
Mary, breathing heavily, carried the oatmeal upstairs. Climbing up to the fifth floor was no easy task for
an old woman like her. When she saw Eileen sitting on the bed, lost in thought with a vacant look in her
eyes, she couldn’t tell what Eileen was thinking.
Eileen hadn’t even noticed when Mary entered. It was only when she heard Mary’s voice that she
turned around.
“Ms. Eileen, you’ve been asleep for a whole day and night. Please eat something!” Mary said.
Eileen looked at Mary with teary eyes. “What did the police say to Dad when they came yesterday?”
Mary replied, “I didn’t understand what they were saying either! But they assured me that they would
handle the situation for you. Mr. Swan’ won’t let the man who threatened you with a knife get away with
it.”
Eileen looked away, her eyelashes trembling as she glanced at the bandaged gauze on the back of her
hand. Without much thought, she had already guessed Hector’s fate. Dad will surely make him pay a
thousandfold. Even if he ends up in prison, he will be in utter despair. But there’s nothing I can do about
it.
Eileen carefully sipped her oatmeal. She couldn’t apply too much force with her hand as it would strain
her stitches, making eating a bit of a struggle.
As Mary left the room, Eileen noticed that a significant amount of furniture was missing. The paintings
that once adorned the walls were gone.
“Mary, where are my paintings?” Eileen asked.
Mary suddenly remembered something. “Since you moved in, there have been frequent dangerous

the room in a few days.”
Eileen’s hand, holding the bowl, visibly trembled. “If the room is being renovated, where am I supposed
to live?”
“You might have to stay at Mr. Snow’s house for a few days,” Mary answered.
Clang!
Mary didn’t expect such a strong reaction from Eileen. The bowl of oatmeal she was holding, barely
touched, was thrown, shattering into pieces on the floor.
Eileen had initially thought it was just a joke from Will, but she didn’t expect it to be true.
During lunchtime, Mary had already packed Eileen’s suitcase.
Sitting at the dining table, surrounded by a feast of delicious dishes, Eileen could only eat the oatmeal
in her bowl. She lowered her head, took a few spoonfuls, and said, “Dad, does it have to be Eric’s
house? I could stay in Vera’s room. Or I could move to Mary’s room. I can manage for a few days.”
Will lifted his eyes slightly, his expression turning serious. “During this period, Elsie and I need to go out
for a while. With me not at home, there won’t be anyone to look after you. If you stay at Eric’s place,
there will be someone to watch over you, which will ease my worries a bit.”
“I-I can take care of myself.”
“How are you going to do that? It’s precisely because no one has been supervising you that you’ve
been acting recklessly, even changing classes without permission. I haven’t even dealt with that issue
yet! You better behave yourself during this period and stop causing trouble for Eric. That’s final.
Someone will come to pick you up later.”
There was nothing Eileen could do to change the situation.
Elsie, trying to mediate, said, “Alright. There’s no need to be so harsh. Eileen simply doesn’t want to
leave home: She didn’t want any of this to happen. Eileen, when we return, the house renovation
should be almost complete. Then your father and I will come to pick you up.”
With a melancholic nod, Eileen didn’t say anything more.
Around one in the afternoon, Gavin came to pick her up,
Mary had packed all her belongings, filling several large boxes, and completely emptied her
room.
Eileen didn’t bring much with her, only some everyday skincare products and clothes for changing.
Unexpectedly, even those items required five large suitcases, and pulling them all at once was quite
strenuous.
Eileen would rather stay at school, but there was a holiday the following week. After Christmas, New
Year’s Eve would be next.
Arriving at Euphoria Condominium, Eileen saw Sharon and Vera waiting downstairs since early
morning.
As soon as the car stopped, Sharon hurriedly approached and opened the back passenger door.
When Eileen stepped out of the car, Sharon grabbed her injured hand, her face full of concern. “Let me
see! You poor thing. How did you get hurt again?”
“I’m fine. It doesn’t hurt at all. It’s just a little scrape, and it’ll heal in a few days,” Eileen replied.
Vera walked over and said, “Eileen, your room is ready. However, I hope you don’t mind sharing a room
with me. I’m not sure if you’ll like how I’ve arranged it…” She affectionately took hold of Eileen’s wrist
as she spoke.
“Alright.” Eileen’s face showed no particular emotion. From childhood to adulthood, she had always
been alone in her own room. She was not accustomed to living with others.
Entering the condominium, Vera told Eileen the door lock code. They saw that an additional bed had
been added to Vera’s room.
The bed sheets and duvet covers were all purchased by Sharon according to Eileen’s preferences, all
in soft, pastel colors. There was also a pink teddy bear on the head of the bed, a birthday gift she had
wanted.
Vera also had an identical one, placed in the same position.
Living under someone else’s roof, Eileen didn’t have the right to express her dislikes. “Thank you. I

Vera cheerfully said, “I’m glad you like it. Sharon and I were worried that you might not. You’re still not
well, so you should rest. Sharon and I can take care of the luggage.”
Eileen’s lips curved into a faint smile. “I’m fine now. I can take care of myself.”
“Let me assist you!”
Eileen nodded without refusing. It seemed impolite to refuse.
Once everything was organized, Eileen’s clothes occupied more than half of the wardrobe, leaving
barely any room for the/books.
Eileen apologized, “I brought too much. I’ll just put the rest on the floor for now!”
“Alright! When the time comes, I’ll have Eric buy a bookshelf and bring it over.”
“That’s not necessary,” Eileen politely replied.
“It’s absolutely necessary! You don’t know how much I wish I had a sister. We could share all
the good things together. We could watch movies together, share good books…”
After spending over two hours, everything was finally organized.
Eileen wasted no time. She spread out her books and began studying. She hadn’t had the chance to
work on the workbooks that Jacob had given her last time.
Vera sat next to her, also starting to work on her homework. Whenever they encountered problems
they didn’t understand, they would ask each other for help.
Sharon was cooking, and it wasn’t until she entered the room and saw the two of them working hard
that she felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction, as if she had two daughters at the same time.
“It’s time for Eileen to eat.”
Eileen glanced at the time. It was just before six o’clock, yet outside, the sky had already turned
completely dark.
“Sure. You guys start eating! I’ll join you as soon as I finish this question.”
Vera glanced at Eileen, then turned around and said to Sharon with a gentle smile, “We’ll come in a
little while.”
