Chapter 79 Spend The Night
“Mr. Snow, was that Eileen who just left?” Sharon’s voice reached Eileen as she closed the
door.
The condominium was nearly empty at the moment, and Eileen hurriedly took the elevator downstairs.
She feared that Sharon would follow her, trying to persuade her to go back.
Eileen had a soft heart and couldn’t resist Sharon’s pleas. A little begging from Sharon was all it took
for Eileen to give in. She would end up returning to Eric once again.
Tonight, Eric had finally revealed his true intentions to her!
He planned to seek revenge on the Swan family until they were completely destroyed. Only then would
he be satisfied…
His desire was not simply to take everything from the Swan family.
Upon reflection, Eileen realized that she had never truly understood Eric.
He was like a black hole, capable of devouring and destroying everything that came near him.
Meanwhile, she was like a dodder, only able to thrive by clinging to him.
The cold wind bit at Eileen as she stood beneath the condominium, wrapped tightly in at blanket. It
would take Alan at least half an hour to arrive from Undella Mansion, assuming there was no traffic.
Even under the best conditions, it would still take him a good fifteen to twenty minutes.
Her ankles turned red from the cold, and her arm throbbed with pain. Eileen lifted her nightgown to
examine the simple bandage where blood had seeped through. She guessed she wouldn’t be able to
attend the tutoring class tomorrow. Instead, she would need to go to the hospital. After all, she didn’t
feel comfortable with anything Eric did to her.
When others were around, his meticulous and considerate behavior towards her was all a facade.
In the past, Eric would at least pretend to care about her when they were alone.
I suppose he won’t bother in the future…
The snow continued to fall relentlessly, covering the stone statues by the fountain and the leaves on
the trees with a layer of pristine Blake.
Hearing a noise behind her, the sound of an elevator door opening, she turned around. It was

His gaze was sharp, fixed on her. Eileen calmly looked away to hide the panic in her eyes. Why did he
come down?
Eric walked past her, heading towards the snow. He pulled out his car keys from his pocket, opened the
car door, and got in, all in one smooth motion.
Then, the car pulled up in front of her, and the person inside lowered the window and said, “I’ve already
called Alan. He won’t be coming. Get in.”
Eileen was quite stubborn, her tone cool and detached as she replied, “Thank you, but I don’t want to
trouble you. I can take a taxi home by myself.”
Walking on the soft snow in her fluffy slippers, the snow quickly soaked through, leaving the soles of
her feet icy cold.
“Eileen, I’ll only say this twice; get in the car!”
His tone was harsh and impatient, leaving no room for refusal.
A few snowflakes fell, landing on her shoulders and neck, bringing a touch of coldness.
But none of this compared to the coldness in her heart.
Eric wasn’t even pretending anymore.
Eileen, with her calm eyes, stared at the ground for a few seconds. Then, she slowly moved forward
and tried to open the back seat of the vehicle.
It was locked – she couldn’t open it.
“Come over here, up front.”
She had no choice but to do as he said. Without saying much, Eileen walked around the front of the
car, got into the passenger seat, and buckled her seatbelt.
The car started moving, leaving the residential area behind.
Eileen focused on looking at the scenery outside the car window, not speaking to him. She wasn’t sure
if Eric did it on purpose, but the car window was half open. The weather was already cold, and now
Eileen felt like she was in an ice cellar. However, she refused to speak up, stubbornly maintaining her
silence and determined not to talk to him.
She had always been stubborn as a mule. In her previous life, she knew full well that Eric had hidden
motives for choosing to marry her, yet she remained adamant. This was just like how, despite knowing
she was heading in the wrong direction to go home, she refused to turn.

back and kept going.
Eric wasn’t faring much better; half of his coat was already soaked.
In less than twenty minutes, not a word was spoken between them, and Eileen shivered from the cold.
Eventually, they arrived at the entrance of Undella Mansion.
Eileen stepped out of the car, noticing a sliver of light peeking through the gap in the living. room
curtains.
She vaguely saw a fair hand pressing against the curtain, its shape reflected in the glass.
Eileen walked over and heard certain sounds coming from the living room.
A woman was delicately panting and moaning without restraint. “I-I can’t take it darling… Daddy…
you’re so amazing… Please stop!”
anymore,
“Baby, you’ve had your fun, but I’m not done yet! Hold on a bit longer… D*mn, you’re really tight!”
“Ah! Be gentle. If Eileen hears us, it’ll be trouble.”
“So what if she hears us? It’s not like she can stop me, can she?”
How absolutely absurd and disgusting!
In that instant, Eileen didn’t need to enter the door at all.
Eileen turned around and walked to a spot where she could squat and avoid the snow. It was very quiet
here, free from any disgusting noises.
The sound of shoes crunching on the snow rang out as Eric approached her. “Planning ont spending
the night here?”
She no longer knew where to go.
Eric had watched as she was bullied but had not intervened. Yet now, seeing her pitiful and homeless,
he was extending a helping hand. His moods were unpredictable. When he wanted. to be kind to her,
he was very kind. But when he didn’t, he always seemed to want to make things difficult for her.
Every time she encountered Eric, she ended up getting hurt.
“This is my home. I have nowhere else to go… Eric, can you stop hurting me while pretending to pity

showed up in the first place. Thank you for bringing me home. You can go back now. You don’t have to
worry about me.”
No matter how badly she had bullied Vera in her previous life, she had already paid it all back.
All that remains now is the debt I owe her.
Eric gazed intently at the pitiful woman huddled in the snow.
“What a fool.”
Eric started the car and drove away. Before long, he reached for his phone and dialed a series of
numbers.
In the middle of the night, Mary was awakened by a phone call. Upon recognizing the voice on the
other end, she quickly left through the back door of the servant’s quarters. Clad in rose-colored thermal
underwear and a cotton jacket, she braved the freezing weather. Squinting, she spotted a pitiful figure
huddled in the corner.
Trudging through the heavy snow, Mary hurriedly woke Eileen and assisted her to the servant’s
quarters.
Located at the rear of the mansion, the servant’s quarters consisted of a small and narrow room. Mary
swiftly fetched a quilt for Eileen, draping it over her, and then brought a heater for her to warm her
hands.
“Ms. Eileen, it’s quite late already. Why don’t you rest here for the night? Who knows when Mr. Swan
will be finished.”
Eileen sipped her hot tea, surprised that others could so easily voice things that were so disgraceful.
She almost choked on the tea.
–
Mary glanced at her and chuckled. “Miss, I’m a countrywoman through and through. That’s just how I
speak straightforward and without beating around the bush. I’m not like Sharon, who’s meticulous in
everything she does and always makes things easier for others. I’m a straight shooter and say what I
think. I hope you don’t mind!”
Eileen nodded, looking at the steaming tea in the cup. “It’s okay, I don’t mind.”
