Sounds of water dripping could be heard all around them. The darkness of the cave made it hard to see. This time Nana was in the back, and Kana was in the front. This was because Kana had better eyesight in the dark. Kana wiggled her nose as she smelt the musty air. She didn't like the smell too much. She felt the smell was a little off.
"This place is kind of creepy." Fei pursed her lips as she stuck close to Fan and Zhong.
"Well, it is a cave that normally only demonic beasts might roam in, so we should be very careful." Nana was keeping a close eye on all the side walls for any dark spots that might actually be passageways. She did not dare be careless and end up getting ambushed from the sides.
"Hey, what's that on the wall?" Fan asked as he walked over to the side wall and looked at the white substance sticking to it.

"Benefactor Kana, I believe we have entered a human faced spider den…." Zhong announced. His words causing the other three to suck in a breath of cold air.
"Hmm? A human faced spider, huh?" Kana pursed her lips and looked at the strange looking human face in front of her. She nodded her head as she said: "I think you're right. But I must say, while it does resemble a human, I do not think it actually looks human."
"Kana, what do you mean?" Nana asked curiously. No one realized something was wrong yet because Kana was standing much farther away and acting so calm.
"Well, take a look." Kana suddenly spat out a flame into her hand and lit up the ugly face in front of her. "See, it doesn't look all that human, right? Huh? Guys, you okay? Why are you backing up?"
"Kana! What are you doing? Move!" Nana yelled out. She was scared to death because the human faced spider in front of them was no rank three demonic beast but a rank five! That was enough to make a core formation expert have to fight with all their might!
"Why would I run from a little spider?" Kana asked as she reached out her hand and petted the demonic beast in front of her. Her actions seemed to have angered the human faced spider because it reared up and let out a loud screeching sound. "Screee!"
Kana frowned and turned around to look at the human faced spider and drew her sword. She began poking it while scolding it. "Didn't you mama ever tell you not to yell in people's ears!?"
Green blood started to come out of the human faced spider from each poke causing it to be angered even more. It opened up its hideous mouth that had many rows of jagged teeth and went to bite Kana, but before it could, Kana suddenly snapped her fingers. "Bad spiders need to be punished."
It all happened in an instant. The massive human faced spider who was only centimeters away from biting Kana's head off her shoulders suddenly turned into a pile of dust. Nana and the others all stared at the huge dust pile and gulped. They never expected a rank five demonic beast to suddenly die with the snap of someone's fingers. Only those in the golden core realm would be able to do such a thing. But here was a stage one qi gathering cultivator who was able to do it.

"I give up. No matter what cultivation I am, Kana will always be the strongest." Nana said with a smile as she shook her head and walked forward, and patted Fei on the shoulder. "Keep a good eye on the ceilings. Besides Kana, only you can penetrate the darkness well enough to see if we are walking into an ambush." Because Fei was half elf, she had decent night vision and could see much better than the others except Kana. Which was good because this was a dangerous place for all of them, and if they did get attacked out of nowhere, they would need to fend for themselves if Kana was locked up with another human faced spider.
"On it." Fei also understood the results if they were ambushed by such a demonic beast.
They continued walking forward without coming across another demonic beast. It was only about fifteen minutes later that Kana stopped and signaled the others to back up. "We can't go any further. This is a nest."
Kana looked at the massive cobwebs scattered all over and decided the risk was not worth it. She could sense many human faced spiders deeper in the cave. It was not that she herself was afraid to move forward, but she could not risk the lives of the others. And they were too far into the forest to leave them alone on the outside. With no other options, it was best to retreat. "Nana, take the lead to get out. Have Fei direct you. I will watch the rear."
Nana nodded, and Fei walked to her side, leaving the two boys in the middle. Kana stayed a fair distance away as she walked backwards every so often to keep a close eye on the area behind her. She hoped they were not already sensed because if they were, it would be really bad for her and her group.
But they only retreated a few meters before Nana gave some unwanted bad news. "Kana, we are trapped, the exit is now covered in webs!"
Kana turned to see the whole tunnel up ahead, the one they just came down, was now, as Nana reported, filled with webbing. Kana frowned and wanted to move to the front to try to burn them away, but the spot they were in was very tight. And if they were attacked from any side at this time, she would not be able to help without actually hurting her friends. "We might be in trouble…."
