As the days passed and turned into months, two years passed. Kana and her family cultivated every day and only rested when they needed to. As for Creige who had to 'release' his yang energy which also helped boost Kana's cultivation in the process, he did not get as much rest as the girls. But as Kana's cultivation rose, it got closer and closer to her breaking through to rank ten qi condensation. She was getting to the point that she was almost ready to break through to rank ten qi condensation.
Kana sighed as she stopped cultivating, she only needed a slight nudge more. She looked at her family, who had all entered the qi gathering realm and were close to reaching qi condensation, and smiled. "It will not be long…." Kana could only sigh. Her cultivation seems slow compared to theirs, but she did notice a significant reduction in their cultivation speed as they reached the later stages of qi gathering.
"Kana?" Creige opened his eyes and saw that Kana had come out of her cultivative state.

I do not know what the old man did, but he made it, so you guys are seen as someone from this world while I am being treated as an outsider by the heavenly laws. I have three more ranks added on to my cultivation per realm compared to everyone else, and in order to break through to rank ten, I need to undergo heavenly tribulation." Kana explained. She did not know if she was going to be able to survive this, but she could only hope.
"Will you be fine?" Creige asked, his voice full of worry.
"I picked up a few things from the treasure pavilion to prepare. I should be able to mitigate the damage by about fifty percent. But I might be burnt to a crisp before it is done." Kana sighed as she thought about what she was going to have to go through. While she had her family with her, this world was cruel and had no real rules. It was truly a place where power ruled all, and if you did not want to submit, you could only die or get stronger than anyone else. Plus, she needed to reach the sea of stars to get a chance to bring her sister and sister in law back to life.
Everything had its own path, and hers was to keep seeking greater and greater power. Only then would she be able to truly stand above all others. She still had a few unresolved things on her homeworld as well. If it can be destroyed by those strange insects, she could hopefully bring it back to life. She did not know if she could bring the souls that died there back to life, but she could at least give it a try. Maybe with the combination of all her babies' help, they could pull off a real miracle. But these were all just her hopeful wishes.
Creige frowned. He knew he was way too weak to even be of any help. While he had the physical strength to fight a core formation cultivator, he did not have the ability to ward off tribulation lighting. If he went, he would die instantly.
Kana smiled, grabbed his hand, and stood up. "Come, let's go finish your cultivation." And with that one dragon girl with her tail wagging back and forth and one handsome husband climbed the stairs to adulthood for a few hours.
The next morning Kana left the house after saying goodbye to everyone and headed down towards the opposite side of the mountain. She had already scoped out a place that had dense spiritual qi that she planned to use as her place to take on her tribulation.
It was a spot on a tall ridge with a small cave in case she needed more time to reach the peak of her current rank. She had prepared as much as she could to do this and could only hope that things went smoothly. Even if she was hurt, she could heal as long as she broke through and could continue to cultivate. But this was only if she is able to survive.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmKana sat down in the spot she had prepared and took out all the items she brought with her, and began creating a few level two lightning warding arrays. It has been said they were good at mitigating some of the damage you would receive. As she was prepping things, Kana wondered how many people had died during their tribulations. This world seems to have been around for a long, long time, with a history that spans millions of years of human evolution. Kana was sure that once someone showed great power and shared how to gain that power, the next person also passed this on, creating a world that only knew how to cultivate. Putting actual technology behind everything else and sticking with millions of years old history of cultivating, dying, and reincarnating to cultivate some more.
Kana figured the first person to reach a realm, the peak of the mortal realm, who had to undergo their tribulation to reach the immortal realm must have died but had people there to watch it and try to come up with countermeasures. Which brought along things like arrays and other unique ways of blocking the lighting. And like this, through trial and error and death, people learned to beat the tribulations and move on to the next plane of existence. From there, they only needed to cultivate and push onward. Once more and more people reached the next plane, they would grow stronger and stronger until they grew too strong for the plane and needed to move on once more. This was the path of life on this world.
"All set…. I can not begin…." Kana took a deep breath and placed a few spiritual stones in her lap before closing her eyes and letting that breath out. "All or nothing."
*Boom!*
Thunder sounded across the heavens. Kana's first real tribulation was starting.
