Chapter 658 When Nina was with Nathalie, whether it was Nathan, Nathalie, Dominick Ford, or Lizzy, everyone respected her choices and gave her plenty of freedom. But Greta's heavy-handed parenting style left Nina feeling trapped and unhappy. In a burst of frustration, she tore up the cheap clothes Greta bought her and tossed the maid-prepared meal onto the floor.

Greta was so livid it made her chest ache. She pointed at Nina, shouting, "You ungrateful brat! Your wastefulness is absolutely maddening!" She barked at the maid, "Bringthe switch! If I don't teach her a lesson today, she'll never learn to be thrifty and respect others' hard work." The maid returned with a leather strap, handing it to Greta. "Ma'am." Greta swung the strap at Nina. She yelped in pain, but her defiant spirit only grew stronger. "How dare you hit me? Who do you think you are? You won't get away with this! Just you wait... when my dad gets back, I'll tell him how you mistreat me. He'll leave you for sure..." As she ranted, Nina dashed around the room. Greta, frail and breathless, couldn't keep up.

Two new maids watched the scene. One, eager to step in, was held back by the other. The second maid whispered, "Mr. Dawson runs this house. With tensions between the wife and his daughter from a previous marriage, we don't know whose side he'll take. If we pick wrong, we might lose our jobs." Hearing this, the first maid held back.

Nina got more nimble, darting around like a slippery fish. Greta, exhausted, was bent over, gasping for air. Greta glared at the maids. "Why are you just standing there? Hold her down!" Afraid of Greta, the maids obeyed. Two joined the chase, and eventually, they caught Nina.

Greta lashed her with the strap. "You think you're so clever? Go on, run. Lettell you, as long as you're under my roof, you won't have an easy life. Look at my face. Your mother burned it. She treatedlike this, so I'm just giving it back in kind." She ordered a maid, "Bringsboiling water." Pinned down by a maid, Nina burst into tears, scared by Greta's threat.

Just then, Cameron chome.

A maid who had run out quickly returned with a warning, "Ma'am, Mr. Dawson is back." Greta showed a flicker of panic. She shoved the strap into a maid's hands. "Hide this quickly." She signaled the maid holding Nina to take her back to her room.

Meanwhile, she composed herself to greet Cameron.
