Damien was a bit surprised that Reva was serious about making him pass the exam and how determined she was about it. He had no idea if he could even develop a decent Fire seed by the end of the current year.
Usually one who would even take years to awaken a Fire seed and that is assuming that they have excellent comprehension abilities. And the comprehension talent for each Law varies since if one has excellent comprehension abilities for Fire Laws doesn't mean they would have no trouble in comprehending Water Laws.
Damien hoped that his comprehension talent for Fire Laws would at least be half as good as his comprehension talent for Lightning Laws.
The other disciples were brimming inwardly with jealousy thinking that Damien was receiving special treatment. Some even wished that their flames were trashy just to have extra classes with their favorite teacher.
Even those who thought of bunking classes came every day just to catch a glimpse of her visage. In fact, some disciples from other batches and divisions would bunk classes just to watch her teach from afar.
There was no student who didn't envy the first-year Elite disciples of Division One. Everyone, especially the Division Two students, bemoaned why they didn't get placed in Division One or have Reva as their alchemy teacher. Instead, most of them got boring and old instructors.
There were only around fifteen students just before Reva's first class. Still, when news about her traveled around, all twenty-five Division One disciples opted for alchemy just to be in her otherworldly presence.
But the others could only watch from afar and dream about her knowing that she was an unreachable goddess who was destined to not belong to any mortals like them.
There were two goddesses in the Xeton Ethereal Foundation, but both were beyond every man's dream of attaining them.
One was the princess of the most powerful empire. The other was a beautiful but deadly demoness who had the hots for someone else.
Many arrogant young masters wondered why the statuses of such heavenly beauties had to be so exalted. Otherwise, they were sure they could conquer them by hook or by crook.
Now, those young masters who even had eyes on Valentina didn't even dare to look at her. They already saw how many of their friends who tried to woo her ended up in a pitiful state and also how she didn't even spare the senior disciples like Luke and his friends.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtBecause of that, they even steered cleared from Damien's path. Why should they try to bully Damien just to get their balls smashed and lose their manhood forever? Was it worth it?
Some even started doing their meditation diligently to distract themselves from thinking about Valentina and focusing on their cultivation.
These kinds of people were more prominent in Valentina's division as the boys would try their best to listen to the teacher's class and not let their eyes get lured by Valentina's devastating beauty.
Most of all, they knew how she even challenged the 'Charming Snake', Dennisa Rivers of the third-year Elite batch, to a duel with the stakes being their reputations itself.
Some obsessed young masters were hoping that after Damien gets thrashed by Roy Clive, Valentina would leave him and look in their direction.
Damien asked curiously, "Teacher, are you sure I can awaken my Fire seed within a year? I haven't heard of anyone who could do it."
Reva said with a fixed gaze, "Yes, most if not all would not be able to awaken their dormant Fire seed in a year. But given your extraordinary talent, I am sure you can awaken your Fire seed if you follow the right way."
Damien smiled as he looked at her eyes, "This disciple feels honored that teacher has so much confidence in him. This disciple will do his best to follow your words."
By now, everyone thought that Damien had thoroughly impressed Reva so much that she was willing to give him close guidance just to make sure he does not fail.
Reva nodded and said in a quiet tone, "Hmm. Until the class ends, you will focus on your ethereal core and try to use your Fire seed. No matter how disappointing the results, you should keep trying."
The hour passed, and except Damien, everyone was able to manifest flames decent enough to concoct at least Upper Tier Pills which would give at most 70% potency. One or two disciples were able to manifest decent enough etheric flames to concoct Top Tier Pills.
As all these disciples were coming from elite families, their performance wasn't too bad like Damien's.
"We are done for today's class, and from now on, all our classes will be here. For the next class, no need to wait in your classroom as I would be here itself." Reva wrapped up her lecture before reminding Damien that he can't bunk the extra class scheduled with her.
Damien sighed as he walked out towards the corridor. He felt that the last time he performed poorly on a subject was when he had just entered school in his previous life.
He didn't get the proper schooling due to his situation and had a hard time coming up to speed with other students.
The only reason he was able to cope up was with Sofie's help as she was a bookworm and loved to learn about all kinds of things. She was the one who taught him how fun it is to learn about various things and helped him with his studies.
Soon enough, he joined up with Valentina and Yara Haley in a café on the same floor.
"Damien, are you enjoying your alchemy classes?" Yara Haley asked in a meaningful tone.
"Umm, I can't say for sure as my performance has been the worst in class," Damien said nonchalantly.
Valentina asked in a concerned tone, "How is that possible? No one can beat you in alchemy."
"Oh, we have an alchemy expert here?" Yara Haley asked as she raised one of her brows.
"Well, my theoretical knowledge is excellent, but my etheric fire is too poor to concoct pills."
Valentina was inwardly relieved as she understood that Damien didn't perform well on purpose, and he must be doing it for a reason.
He continued, "And that's why my teacher has decided to keep extra classes for me to awaken my Fire seed. Because if I don't concoct at least a Rank 2 Pill, I will fail."
Valentina asked anxiously, "Doesn't that mean you will have to stay back after class? Can I join your extra class?"
Before Damien could say anything, Yara Haley shook her head and said, "Valentina, you forget that an extra class is meant only for the students the instructors pick. No one else can sit in their classes, no matter who. Don't worry, while Damien attends his extra classes, we can chill out, and I can also 'teach' you some stuff."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmValentina reluctantly nodded with a sullen expression, but when she thought about the things Yara Haley was going to teach her, she felt that it was not too bad to pass the time while she waited for Damien.
Damien squinted his eyes when Yara Haley said she was going to teach Valentina something, "What exactly are you going to teach her? I won't allow you to corrupt her. Wait, did you already teach her something?" He spoke as if he was an elder brother looking out for his little sister.
Yara Haley kept up a naive expression as she said, "What do you mean? I have only taught her things a girl needs to know. Isn't that right, Valena?"
Damien looked skeptically at Valentina, who avoided his gaze like a nervous kitten, and said with a shaky smile, "That's true, Damien. She is not corrupting me."
"Hmmm?" Damien pursed his lips as he felt that something was going on seeing Valentina's edgy expressions.
Yara Haley quickly decided to change the topic, "Besides, we know you are going to enjoy your extra classes. Won't you?" She said with a smirk.
"What do you mean? It's just an extra class, and I don't see how I am going to enjoy it. It just means more work." Damien said with a clear expression.
Yara Haley asked in a doubting tone, "Really? You really don't feel lucky to have more sessions with Her Highness Reva Xeton? Men would die to be in your place."
Damien harrumphed as he already knew where Yara Haley was trying to go with this, "Hmph, a virtuous disciple like me is here to learn. Besides, she is too cold to entertain anything even if I wanted to. Other than teaching, she won't talk nonsense."
Valentina was first discontented that Damien was going to spend time alone with the Ethereal Fairy, who was an extremely beautiful, wealthy, and powerful woman.
But when she heard that Reva doesn't do anything else other than teaching, she felt a bit relieved, thinking that Reva won't go after Damien.
In her eyes, if she saw a woman behaving familiar with Damien, she would think that they were trying to get close with him and gain his affection. If it not for Yara Haley, things would have became a bit more messier.
In fact, without Damien's knowledge, she had already taken down some gutsy women by always keeping a subtle watch on Damien. Most of the other women already learned the lesson of not approaching anything in Valentina's territory.
And Valentina's title, the 'Bloody Fairy' already became a name that struck terror in the hearts of boys and girls alike in the Xeton Ethereal Foundation.
