Adeline saw the modified crystal above a large number of forces and before she could even think to make an escaping move, it detonated with the force of a Cosmic Saint Attack which meant every single expert still on the ground was thrown apart in various directions.
While she and many others had been incapable of moving away fast enough, they had still been able to activate defenses to protect themselves against the blast... The defenses were just not as effective as they would have wanted.
They were all lucky though... Powerful as the blast was, they were still a very large force that was well spread so it was only those directly beneath the explosion who died or suffered the most injuries.
The Saints as well as Peak Semi-Saints had been in the air when the crystal exploded and had also been quick and strong enough to erect defenses for themselves against the blowback.
Once the blast had rolled over and had wreaked its havoc, they turned their weapons at the Avatar of the Sapphirine Prince.
Every single one of the experts in the air not only shot out attacks that were not thick with the energy of their sainthood or semi-sainthood, but they also all cast Cosmic Skills... All of which converged at Hal whose hands were now free and proceeded to grip his trident and Scepter.
Selina fell to her knees with her head facing upward and her eyes rolled into the back of her head... A Sapphire-blue crystal appeared on her forehead while black cracks appeared on her face.
p
All this was still for show but Selina had indeed been bestowed power from Hal which was what made all this more believable... She was mumbling chants that had absolutely nothing to do with what Hal was doing in the sky and doing so with the assurance that her lord would not allow any harm to befall her.
Selina was protected but no one was targeting her at the moment with Hal presenting a larger and more obvious target. Eventually, the forces might have the good sense to think that attacking her would stop the empowering of the Avatar they were battling but that was yet to be the case.
Anyway, Hal, along with Selina, might have created an image of an all-powerful being granting the masked Avatar strength, but in actuality, Hal was just going all out.
He was employing every aspect of his strength to fight while simultaneously activating the large-scale Formation.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe attacks that had been tossed at him, Hal waved his scepter and commanded them all to stop in place with his sovereign might, after which he refined every one of the attacks on the spot.
Whether it was a direct attack with the inclusion of Saint/Semi-Saint energy or a skill that was made up of Cosmic energy, Hal refined them all and absorbed them.
He then retaliated by creating a giant palm out of Devil energy and smacking all those in the air with it as though he was swatting flies.
As the nefarious energy that it was, the devil energy instilled fear in every one of them and while they fought to resist the fear, they all got hit nonetheless.
The leader, a man who had the green eyes of the Harons groaned but was very ready to return to the fight when Hal appeared in front of him and nailed him with his eyes of infinite pull.
With the ability to increase the intensity of whatever feeling anyone had, the eyes of infinite pull increased the fear of the Haron man who froze in place, right in a prime position to be stabbed in the stomach by the three prongs of Hal's trident.
"Ack" groaned the man and his eyes widened in shock while Hal just pushed the trident even deeper inside.
The man tried his best to muster the strength to fight back but all his attempts were met with negation from merely being close to this so-called Avatar.
Others quickly came to interfere and Hal pulled his trident out of his victim before whirling it about to smack them away.
The Trident was not just moving though and was rather followed by the invisible and ever-present force of Infinity.
The one who had been stabbed, retrieved mending pills and swallowed them to heal his deep wounds. The pills stopped the bleeding but were unable to close the wound which the Haron man could accept.
The weapon had been coated with devil energy and so the man was not surprised to find residue of the said energy inside his body but he was surprised that the devil energy was proving resistant to his attempt to get rid of it.
Anyway, all those that had been smacked aside recovered only to be treated to just how much Hal outclassed them when he appeared in front of a semi-Saint and decapitated her with a sword made out of Devil energy only to speedily decapitate the head of another before the head of the first even hit the ground.
But that was only the beginning...
They could practically hear the sneer on his face behind his mask as he stabbed another Semi-Saint and unleashed the true havoc of Devil energy within the expert by stabbing him from within in multiple places and through multiple organs.
Spikes of Devil energy stabbed out of the expert, especially through his orifices with no hope of healing.
"You have no place before me," Hal said in a cold tone.
His tone was not cruel, it was not vindictive, it was nonchalant. No Semi-Saint was worth his time and the mere fact that he had let them live so far was a matter of negligence.
Semi-Saints who had flown up to attack him were his targets... No defense was possible for them... If he managed to get close to them, all hope was lost and that terrified every Semi-Saint on the field of battle.
Three Semi-Saints had fallen to him already and the Saints were in awe at how they were unable to follow his movements to even stop him from mowing down his brethren...
... These Saints were Three Star cosmic saints from the elite Haron family which ordinarily put them above all others and yet, every flap of the Avatar's large wings (flaps so fast they could also not follow) erased his presence from all of their senses.
Those who had Ordinances (all Elemental) charged up those Ordinances but this was Hal, who was holding nothing back and so the negating force of infinity was around him all through it all. Negating every Ordinance use while his Sovereign Dao commanded the use of all cosmic energy to seize.
Those who had been blasted away by the Crystals stirred and if they were not dead, they were back to their feet ready to take part in the battle.
The fact that there was even a need for them to act when there were only two people to fight was insane.
Alas, Insanity was the name of the game as Hal had just cut down yet another Semi-Saint.
This time, the experts in the sky banded together and by a lucky stroke of luck, they managed to repel Hal before he could kill another and proceeded to join forces to cast a massive protective skill that did block Hal's subsequent attacks.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThose who had been blasted away and were looking to engage in the battle set their eyes on the Priestess whose chants were still ongoing.
"All together NOW!!!" yelled a Dane who was proud to have been selected just like his other brethren.
Due to the crystal detonation, Adeline had been displaced from her fellow Silvas and was now close to the formation etched at the edge of Sapphire City's territory.
She had managed to protect herself from sure death but she was very injured. Suffering multiple broken bones. When she stood to her feet and retrieved mending pills, she also retrieved a portable teleportation scroll and that was when the war cry sounded.
The other Silvas had moved away from attempting to charge the Priestess but, separated from them all, Adeline was slammed into by the determined forces who carried her over the boundary of etched formations where she was dumped to the ground.
Her Teleportation scroll was smacked out of her hand as well.
Facing the charging mob, Selina was unbothered and just raised her hands to smack them above her head. No words were needed and Hal took enough of a break from the experts in the air to create a wall of irresistible infinite force that stopped the charging forces in their tracks.
The forces struck at the invisible wall as hard as they could but breaking through it seemed impossible.
And then, the activation of the Formation was completed.
Hal ignored those who had joined forces to defend against him to begin the true erection of the massive formation/Array...
He made use of his Devil seed and his possession of the faith of the denizens of Sapphire City to douse the territory in infinity, as he did that, a dome wall began to rise all around the territory with a present enough mind to push out peak Semi-Saints and Saints from the territory.
The dome wall divided the mob who had charged at Selina into two groups... One group fell within the dome and the other group fell outside of it.
Those outside the dome watched it get completed and before they could think to even attack it, an all-encompassing force spread all about it and they watched with incredulity as the entire territory was swallowed into Infinity...
... The territory vanished as though it had never once truly existed.
