“Uhhhh. Well, when I passed him the communicator and briefly, and I mean VERY briefly, tell him how to use it, we were very rushed and I had to do it while making sure gramps didn’t notice what I was doing so… I uhh…” Jessica Sands stammered lightly.
“You didn’t tell him? I believe that’s a violation of his basic rights.” Monkey King said gravely.
“Well technically it is… but we need to do it to make sure he is safe! Plus…” Jessica Sands trailed off and glanced at Jul’Taras.
Jul’Taras turned to look at Monkey King.
“The Taras Clan is able to look and spy at anything anywhere in the known universe. That is why we are the top information brokers in existence. As long as we know the location, we will know what’s happening in it.” Jul’Taras said evenly.
Although her voice was completely calm, her heart was actually pounding. It was a very strange feeling.
For the longest time, her unique skill was her source of pride. But at that moment, she was actually slightly worried about what Wu Kong might feel about her having such a privacy invading skill!
“I see. That’s… a very useful skill.” Monkey King said while nodding thoughtfully.
Jul’Taras remained quiet and kept her eyes on him. She knew he was coming to terms with her having such a broken skill, and she wanted to know what his conclusion was.
Surprisingly…
“There are a few places which I would like to bother you to help me take a look.” Monkey King said seriously.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJul’Taras’ eyes widened at his words and her mouth bloomed into the most beautiful smile she had ever graced anybody with.
“Of course! Just let me know where, and I will tell you exactly what’s happening in there!” Jul’Taras exclaimed happily.
“Thank you in advance then.” Monkey King smiled and nodded.
They say that those who are in it are blind, but those who watch from the outside can see it clearly.
However, Jul’Taras could see very clearly what Monkey King was going through.
She could see that Monkey King was actually quite surprised initially and fought down a frown. But he had kept his eyes on her and his gaze contained nothing but tenderness.
And to make her feel better, he had immediately embraced her skill and even went as far as asking her to “check out” a few places for him!
How many times had such a scene taken place across the trillions of life forms falling in love everyday in the massive known universe?
As they say, women want bad boys to turn good for their sake, and men want good girls to do bad (naughty) things for them.
But that’s childish love.
Real, passionate love turns a person blind. And instead of wanting their loved one to be or do things for them, they would be the one who would be and do things they never thought they would for their loved one instead!
What Monkey King just did was to allow his feelings for Jul’Taras to overwhelm his sense of righteousness, and completely embraced the skill that she was born with.
As a hero, he would have completely missed the mark. Which hero sacrifices his righteousness just for love? Weak!
But as a normal male in love with a female… he was simply giving her all that he was. And in doing so, he completely opened the door for her to do the same.
Jul’Taras’ heart burned with much more intense passion for Monkey King than before!
She smiled at him very tenderly and her heart was full.
Suddenly…
“Damn it! He’s in a battle! And with a huge bunch of Hegemons!” Jessica Sands cried out.
“What?! What about the Ancient? Is he making a move on him?” Jul’Taras and Monkey King immediately whirled around to look at the holographic image of Elliot.
True enough, he was in an intense battle with three Hegemons!
And all of his beasts were summoned, and they too were fighting for their lives against Hegemons and Emperors!
“The Ancient seem to be absent for the moment. His soul must be away doing something!” Jessica Sands said with obvious relief in her voice.
“That’s good. If he had to deal with an Ancient on top of that many Hegemons, he would be dead before we even know it. Just what the hell is he up to going up against so many? Why can’t he just lay low and try to stay alive after getting such a miraculous ring from Uncle El?” Jul’Taras said crossly.
“Those Hegemons… Something doesn’t feel right.” Jessica Sands said.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Hmmm?” Jul’Taras studied the holographic image of the battles going on around Elliot and she immediately came to the same conclusion.
“There are too many of them, and they all come from too many organizations. An alliance between those organizations are impossible. These Hegemons aren’t there by their own free will. And if that’s the case…”
“Shadow Parasites.” Monkey King said gravely.
“Uncle, are you getting this?” Jul’Taras asked aloud.
“Yes. By courtesy of Director Sands, our fighters are already there. They will take action as soon as Elliot shows signs of being overwhelmed.” El’Taras’ voice sounded in their heads.
“And the Ancient?” Jul’Taras pressed.
“Ancients.” El’Taras corrected. “They are gone. They fled as soon as they detected us.”
“Good. It would be really bad if Ancients break out into a fight on Planet Earth.” Jessica Sands said in relief.
“Bad? Ha!” Chairman El’Taras barked out a laugh and disappeared from their heads.
“What does that mean?” Jessica Sands asked Jul’Taras in confusion.
“I have no idea.” Jul’Taras said as well.
“An Ancient battle probably broke out somewhere.” Monkey King said quietly and began to check the highlights update section of the information pad.
True enough…
“This is really bad.” Monkey King said grimly. “The entire island called Australia just… disappeared.”
