Following his instincts, Kyle gave Arashi permission to start evolving.
His Spirit Soul was readily waiting for his instructions and jumped at the opportunity.
No sooner had Kyle said those words, the energy inside his body drained at a shockingly high speed at that!
Feeling exhausted after barely a few seconds had passed, Kyle was already feeling exhausted.
His bones, as well as muscles, began to cry for relief, begging him to award them some much-needed rest.
All he could think of was the comfortable, warm bed back home.
Half of his mind was inclined to simply turn around and return to the house.
But, Selene's words brought him back to reality.
"Kyle? What are you doing outside?"
Turning around, he smiled lightly before answering her,
"I'm...experimenting with Arashi...and just started his evolution…"
Mell was just standing beside Selene, listening to both of them carefully.
She noticed the tiredness in Kyle's voice.
Thus, she approached him, not sure what exactly was happening.
She had yet to figure out what Kyle's ability was truly capable of and what or who Arashi was.
Feeling worried about his health, she asked him in a soft voice,
"Do you feel tired because of that?"
Nodding his head in response, he replied,
"It looks like I will need lots of energy…" He could barely answer her as a fresh wave of exhaustion swept through him.
Tiredness was seeping into his bones and his very being.
He trailed off as he was not even able to continue speaking.
Despite the fatigue, he didn't use his ability to energize himself.
Instead, he decided to invigorate Arashi.
With that aim, he utilized a small part of his Nurture ability that was still supplied with some of his energy from earlier.
He could only hope that his efforts would make it possible for him to invigorate Arashi.
His Spirit Soul was suddenly enshrouded in a white cocoon all of a sudden.
Without hesitation, Kyle used the Nurture ability and targeted the cocoon.
Fortunately enough, the trick worked and the drainage of his energy was terminated with that.
However, at the same time, Kyle could clearly sense that due to his interference, Arashi's evolution had slowed down.
Even if that was bad, or rather frustrating, he ignored it.
For now, it was more important for him to be energized.
A tired body would only slow them down in their travel through the Sadorla forest.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt'If I can use my Nurture ability, I should be able to use soul particles more efficiently too, even if it's just to empower my ability.
With that, I won't have to helplessly watch the rapid depletion of my energy without being able to control it by myself!'
Kyle was still tired, but his mind was working relentlessly, as usual.
Before, he hadn't been able to witness, let alone figure out what exactly had happened with Arashi. B
Selene and Mell had distracted him for a moment, but he could focus on it again pretty easily.
From the looks of it, Arashi was fine, and he was probably evolving inside the white shroud without any issues.
The more energy he supplied, the higher the acceleration of the evolution process would be.
Kyle was not sure if Arashi would evolve even without the supply of energy.
But this should be the case, considering how much the little azure horned fox had already been nurtured.
However, even without the need to nurture Arashi, accelerating the evolution process was easy.
All Kyle had to do was to time the evolution at which it would be completed.
'Maybe, I can hunt a few beasts during the journey through the Sadorla Forest. The Jars would probably help me hunt too if I were to ask them!'
Looking at Mell he smiled as he decided to be honest with them.
That was the least he could do in return for everything they had done and would do for him and Selene.
It was not necessary to reveal everything, but his current condition was clear.
Mell had already seen him look like the energy had been sucked out of him.
Hence, it was difficult for him to lie.
To put it simply, he didn't want to lie about the fact that he was just rendered incapable of cultivating until Arashi would finish his evolution.
Neither did he want to come up with vague answers regarding the origin of his suddenly awoken wind affinity.
It had weird conditions to be fully awakened as it is.
So, he didn't feel like adding more to the pile of lies.
He was of the opinion that telling the truth would free his mind from remembering hundreds of lies to cover up for his reasons.
Thus, he spent the rest of the afternoon explaining the majority of his ability to their teachers.
Kyle also included an in-depth explanation of the origin of the Arashi, whom they had seen glimpses of before already.
Both Mell and Gard were astonished, but they were not really shocked about Kyle's revelation.
For them, it was not difficult to comprehend most things about Kyle.
He had already given them many clues since the beginning.
And, they had figured out the truth partially ever since they had begun to stay under one roof.
Had it been anyone else, Kyle's inadvertent revelation would have caused him more harm than good.
Luckily, his teachers had no ill intentions.
They only thought of him as foolish.
Nonetheless, it had given him many benefits every single time he exposed more about himself.
As such, Mell and Gard were not sure whether Kyle was extremely cunning, or too playful with his secrets.
Nevertheless, knowing what they assumed to be the complete truth gave the Jars the opportunity to make necessary preparations for their departure the next day.
There was not much time left until sunrise so they had to hurry.
Though, it was more than enough for the two to sort and prepare a large bundle of books which Kyle was supposed to read.
Furthermore, he could improve his mastery in the martial art techniques he had already learned. Even though it would require him to consume soul force, Kyle's vessel could replenish the used up soul force.
For this, he would not even require Arashi's help to convert energy into soul force.
It would take much longer, but his body and soul vein were capable of converting minuscule amounts of energy into soul force.
Due to this, replenishing the used up energy without Kyle's active participation was possible like it was normally the case with the three main cultivation paths.
With this, his combat prowess would increase even if his cultivation progress would stagnate.
Meanwhile, Selene was supposed to use the journey to cultivate and improve her knowledge about runes!
The entire trip to the Lahin kingdom would take at least a month.
Ensuring the safety of 2500 Lohars was paramount.
Hence, they had to take open and wide routes with little to no possibility of being ambushed.
Consequently, this also meant that they skipped shortcuts and travelled through longer but less dangerous routes.
Thus, they had more than enough time to widen their horizon and grow in several fields.
The most interesting of all was their newly awakened affinity seeds.
Kyle wanted to focus on comprehending wind in its essence.
But he felt as if this would be much more difficult than he imagined.
Nevertheless, he was intrigued about the wind element he could slowly discover which fueled his ambition.
The last few days had been extremely busy. But now after everything seemed to have concluded, Kyle noticed that it was just the beginning.
There were too many things for him to do, so he could not afford to slack off, or rest properly.
Fortunately, he felt like doing neither. He was happy about everything that had happened since he had reincarnated.
Even if it was painful on many occasions, he was able to cultivate it as opposed to his past.
His Nurture ability made it even possible for him to change the fate of others along with his own.
Kyle had a rather unique ability that he could use for those who had been as unfortunate as him in his past life.
Selene's life had changed for the better with Kyle's arrival.
He was the one to free her from the clutches of enslavement and help her get control over his life.
And now, she had become a noble of her race, which was totally unexpected.
He was so engrossed in his thoughts that Kyle didn't even realize that Selene had been talking to him.
Only when she accessed the spatial ring, did he react.
The Jars had not taken it back from both of them even after they had successfully completed their mission.
Looking at the table in front of him, his eyes fell on an ancient-looking tome.
It had a platinum engraved token with the Guild's emblem embedded on it.
This piqued Kyle's interest, and he immediately picked up the token that looked familiar.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAs such he released his soul force and inserted some of it into the token to inspect it.
All of a sudden, letters manifested a few centimeters above the token.
It formed multiple words, increasing Kyle's interest even more.
[Adventurer Kyle(Aldra)& Selene(Lohar)], [12 months], and [100,000 common Cultivation stones]
In the end, the meaning of the token was simple. It could be considered a check, giving only Kyle and Selene the right to purchase goods worth a total of 100,000 common cultivation stones.
Cultivation stones were either Pryr, Mana, or Spirit stones, and the name that was often used to make everything easy to note down.
This was because the worth of certain cultivation resources was higher in certain areas while it was cheaper in others.
The worth of 100,000 common cultivation stones was extremely high.
It was more than enough for Kyle and Selene to cultivate for a very long time.
This only served as a proof to indicate how generous the Guild was in the face of dangers.
Kyle finally felt that it was worth travelling to the Nasga settlement and rescuing the Lohars after seeing the rewards.
The Guild had not been stingy in awarding them handsomely.
After knowing what the token had awarded him, he was eager to find what the other reward had in store for them.
His eyes flicked to the nameless tome that was probably the cultivation technique Selene could learn soon.
It was odd for the technique to not possess a name.
But after opening the tome, he was able to quickly figure out that it was the real deal.
"The technique is perfect for you, Selene.
It feels as if it was customized by someone who knows the capacities of your cultivation veins perfectly!!" Kyle couldn't keep the excitement out of his voice.
He was awed by the content of the technique in addition to the detailed information.
His eyes found Selene's that were gleaming brightly.
She was still a little nervous owing to the assassination attempts.
But after giving it another thought, she realized that there was nothing she could have done.
The past had already elapsed and Selene knew she could only change the present and her future.
Now she was determined to give her utmost efforts to protect those important to her instead of cowering in fear.
And for that to happen, she had to be as strong as possible.
As such, the technique in front of her was the perfect solution.
She felt proud to possess the technique, even if the way she obtained it had been extremely dangerous. It was probably the cause for the entire mess to happen.
Little did she know that she was a mere pawn in the grand scheme of things.
Everything had happened because of the hidden conflict between the three kingdoms who wanted to claim the entire Sadorla forest for themselves.
Something existed within the Sadorla forest that everyone wanted to lay their hands on.
But, only a few important individuals knew what it actually was.
This made Kyle curious about what the thing might be, and if it was really worth the efforts the three kingdoms seemed to take.
His mind began to theorize if it was even possible to prevent a large-scale war from breaking out.
Of all other thoughts, this worried him the most.
