Sapphire didn’t have any reason to doubt what was reported and believed the story about how Eileen had fallen

because she had been careless when changing the curtains.

with instructions for her and Conrad to watch out for Victor.

Conrad drove Fia and Sapphire to the airport.

Sapphire sat alone in the back seat and didn’t speak the entire journey.
