Chapter 564 Memory Loss Pill
Back at the infirmary, Bailey walked into the ward with a smile.
Chloe began to work herself up as soon as she saw her.
“Bailey! You tricked me! How dare you set me up? I'm going to kill you!”
Right after saying that, she turned around and tried to get off the bed, only to feel a sharp pain up her legs. Having
just lost her innocence, she didn't have the strength to stand, and she fell to the floor as her legs turned to jelly.
The impact of the fall caused her wounds to reopen, and she bawled her eyes out due to the pain.
“How could you do this? You're a woman too! Don't you know how much a woman values her innocence?”
Bailey scoffed.
To think this woman still had the audacity to blame her.
“You say you know how important a woman's innocence is to her, but did you ever think about my innocence when
you destroyed my reputation at that time? I'm not your mother, young lady. I have no reason to put up with you.
Take this as a lesson and remember: don't ever try to do someone dirty again, because what goes around will
always come around. It's just a matter of time.”
Chloe stared at her in bewilderment. “Y-You knew?” she asked, her voice trembling.
Bailey smirked. “Did you think you were being that secretive? I'm Bailey Jefferson. If there's one thing I gained from
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtall the hurt people caused me, it would be a pair of keen eyes. It only took me a split second to see through your
intentions. This happened to you only because you tried to plot against me.”
Having been exposed, Chloe no longer saw the need to maintain a facade. “You won't be laughing for long, Bailey,”
she declared with gritted teeth. “Dellmoor's already sent its people to look into you, and my dad's close friend is in
charge. He'll sentence you to prison soon enough, so you can look forward to life behind bars!”
“Sure.” Bailey grinned. “I look forward to your dad's friend dragging me into prison. You'd better not disappoint me
after getting my hopes up, Ms. West.”
Unable to stand the smug look on Bailey's face, Chloe lashed out at her only to be slapped across the face instead.
“You b*tch! How dare you hit me!”
Bailey shrugged. “I already made you lose your innocence. What makes you think I wouldn't dare hit you? I'd like to
see your mighty dad try to put me behind bars.”
“You!”
“Have a pleasant recovery, Ms. West. Oh, by the way, your huge scandal is affecting the company's reputation, so I
suppose I should fire you as the soon-to-be Mrs. Luther. As of this day onward, you're no longer an employee of
Luther Group.”
Chloe jumped up in rage, but that was her limit. Her legs felt so heavy that she couldn't move an inch from where
she was.
Thus, she could only watch Bailey leave haughtily. “Just you wait, Bailey Jefferson. You're going to die a miserable
death.”
Funnily, everyone who wished that upon Bailey always ended up dying themselves.
Bailey's phone rang as soon as she left the ward.
She took the device out of her pocket and realized it was a text message from the leader of the university's chat
group: Hi, Ms. Bailey. We've gotten our remittance certificates ready. Can we submit them now?
Bailey initially wanted to say that there was no need.
She could easily take down the West family.
Didn't Ms. West say her father's friend from Dellmoor will be coming over to investigate me and put me behind
bars? I'm going to use that and ruin the West family once and for all.
As though having read her mind, the other party added: Please don't say no, Ms. Bailey. If you do, we'll all take up
loans to return all the subsidies you've given us.
“Sure.” Bailey grinned. “I look forward to your dad's friend dragging me into prison. You'd better not disappoint me
after getting my hopes up, Ms. West.”
Bailey was speechless.
Sighing, she replied: Fine. Someone's about to try and send me to prison. I'll need you guys' help when that time
comes, but for now, it's all good.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmLeader: Okay. We'll do as you say.
Bailey smiled. Who says being kind never pays off?
She had treated them kindly, and now, they were returning the favor.
Meanwhile, inside a coffee shop by the window, an exasperated Yvette explained the situation to Sofie.
“What should I do now? If we don't expose Bailey as the head of the Saviors, I'll never be able to make a comeback.
The thought of marrying a nobody humiliates me.”
Sofie raised her brows as a cold glint flashed in her eyes.
You're down to your last value, Ms. Sullivan. I'll use you for the last time before getting rid of you.
“Rather than expose Bailey's identity, I have a better idea that can help you rise again.”
“What is it?” Yvette asked, looking eager.
“Give Artemis a memory loss pill to make him forget all about Bailey. As long as he has no memory of her, Tarragon
will have a way to get him to marry you.”
Drug him? That's tough! It's way easier said than done.
“How am I going to drug him? I can't even meet him in person.”
Sofie picked up her glass of coffee and sipped on it gently. “That's easy,” she remarked coolly. “Isn't he the one who
arranged your marriage? Besides, you're the daughter of the previous leader. As the new ruler, he has an
obligation to send you off when you get married. Tarragon's headquarters are your turf. Don't tell me you can't find
a single chance to drug him then.”
