Chapter 715 Ruin Your Face
She had always been decisive and would act quickly once she made up her mind.
Since she had determined to adopt Zain's treatment plan, she didn't hesitate any further.
Moreover, Veronique's condition had progressed to a highly critical stage and couldn't be delayed any longer. For
every day they waited, the probability of her being cured would decrease.
Beep!
As the call connected, an amused voice sounded from the receiver.
“I can't believe you took the initiative to contact me. So, tell me. Have you or someone close to you been poisoned
by Soul Reaper?”
Bailey was slightly taken aback. Why did he ask a question like that? Soul Reaper is the restricted poison in the
Yablon family and has always been sealed inside their family's ancestral hall. It hasn't appeared in the outside world
for decades, and no outsiders knew how to create this poison. It sounds like... “Don't tell me your family's Soul
Reaper was stolen and is now circulating in the outside world.”
A snicker came from the other end of the call. “How could an item my family has guarded for generations be so
easily stolen? Didn't you previously swear you wouldn't contact me unless you've been poisoned with Soul Reaper?
Now that you're calling me, I assumed you were poisoned.”
Bailey was rendered speechless. This jerk has a good memory. I can't believe he still remembers what I said even
though I've forgotten all about it.
“As long as the Yablon family doesn't lose Soul Reaper, I won't be poisoned by it. That's enough. Cut the nonsense,
and let’s get to the point. Come to Hallsbay. I need your help.”
A low chuckle sounded from the phone's speaker, followed by the voice of a man, which was laced with hints of
mockery.
"Only you can be so shameless, Bailey. You're requesting another person's help, yet you're still so arrogant. Putting
aside why you need my help, I will consider going to Hallsbay if you ruin your face first. The scar on the corner of

Bailey didn't respond immediately.
Instead, she took a deep breath to suppress her boiling rage before uttering through gritted teeth, “Cameron, can
you be reasonable? If it weren't for your persistence to cling to me back then, why would I-”
At that point, she abruptly caught herself. Hold on. Why do my words sound so ambiguous?
"Yes, that's right. I was indeed persistent in clinging to you in the past. Unfortunately, you didn't bother to
reciprocate my feelings, causing all my heartfelt shows of affection to go to waste. I—”
She raised her voice and yelled, "Stop it. Talk like a normal person. A scheming and cunning person like you,
pretending to be a
romantic saint, is really nauseating. If I disfigure my face, will you come to Hallsbay?”
Cameron laughed quietly. “Don't do that. I look at a painting of you every day and am already used to seeing your
exquisite face. It'll be such a waste if your face is ruined. I'm just kidding, so don't take it seriously.”
"Perv*rt.” Only a pervert will stare at the portrait of their enemy every day.
She leaned against a rack in exasperation. “Quit yapping and give me a straight answer. Will you come to Hallsbay
or not?”
“Of course, I'm going. How can I refuse a beauty's invitation? Wait for me. I—”
Without waiting for him to finish, she hung up and slammed the phone on the table.
“What an ‘sshole! If it weren't because I needed his help, I wouldn't take the initiative to contact him even if
someone were to threaten me to do it with my life.”
Their conversation was on loudspeaker, so Zeke heard everything they said.
His intuition as a man told him Artemis might be facing another formidable rival in love.
"All right. Don't be mad. We'll just wait for his arrival since he has agreed to come to Hallsbay. If you don't want to
see him, I'll negotiate with him.”
Bailey waved her hand. “Keep this news under wraps, and don't let Artemis find out. I'm afraid he will rush back
here if he knows about this. By the way, is there any news from Philip? He saved our father, so the Shurmer family
owes him a favor. Since he has achieved his goal, did he mention when he'll be leaving?”
Zeke frowned and replied solemnly, “Nope. He doesn't seem to be in a hurry to leave. Even when I told him
Juliana's miscarriage was an accident due to her own negligence, and I wouldn't blame the Hoffman family, he still
showed no inclination to leave Hallsbay. I wonder if he has other plans.”
“Send someone to monitor him around the clock.”
Zeke thought for a moment before suggesting, “Why don't we seize him directly and exchange him for Juliana?”
Bailey shook her head and sighed. “Raymond will never do that. Besides, Juliana won't agree to leave her family
either because Huntley is involved in this matter. She will never abandon him. Moreover, I also plan to use Philip to
lure out Sofie. That woman is too ambitious, so we must eliminate her as soon as possible.
Otherwise, I won't be able to rest assured. Hence, we can't detain Philip.”
“Fine. We'll do as you say.”
Meanwhile, inside the living room at a suburban mansion, Philip leaned against the couch, answering a phone call
from Tucker.
“Dad, Uncle Raymond is planning to announce Huntley and Juliana's marriage publicly. What do you think he's trying
to achieve here? Does he have some kind of tricks up his sleeve?”
Announcing the marriage? Philip furrowed his brows.
He wasn't worried about the alternative plan Raymond might've devised. Instead, Philip was concerned whether
Wendy would take the bait after the marriage was made known to the public.
He still wanted to take control of Wendy and use her to threaten Holden in the future.
“When is he planning to make the announcement?”
“In three days. Dad, you haven't answered my question yet. Is he coming up with a fallback by suddenly deciding to
have Juliana engaged to Huntley?”
Philip sneered and uttered casually, “What are you afraid of? With Sofie's assistance, we'll be able to take over

right?”
“But-”
“No more 'buts.' Try to delay the announcement of the marriage for a few more days to give me time to set up my
plans.”
“Okay. I'll try, but you'll need to hurry too. I've made all the necessary preparations on my end. Once Wendy boards
the plane and leaves the country, my subordinate will immediately apprehend her.”
“Okay.”
After ending the call, Philip went to the guest room and forced Miranda to call her again, urging her to leave
Hallsbay and head to Moranta as soon as possible.
Wendy had recuperated for a few days and used the best medications, so her wounds were almost fully recovered.
After receiving Miranda's phone call, she grew increasingly restless. After hanging up the phone, she went to meet
with Bailey.
Inside the study, Bailey arched her brow and looked at Wendy, teasing, "You've recovered well after using the
medicines I invented. I guess I can explain myself to Holden now if he asks. He didn't regard me as his sister-in-law
for nothing.”
Wendy walked up to Bailey, sat opposite the latter, and asked through gritted teeth, “Bailey, did Julie suffer a
miscarriage? Has Huntley been crippled?”
The smile on Bailey's face gradually dissipated. She narrowed her eyes and questioned Wendy, “Where did you
hear that from?”
“Aunt Miranda told me. Bailey, aren't you going to save Julie?”
Bailey lowered her head slightly and said, “I can't leave at the moment. However, I won't abandon her. After
Edmund's condition stabilizes, I'll go and rescue her.”
Wendy pursed her lips. I'm afraid it'll be too late by then.
