Letitia replied, “Nothing happened between him and me, we didn’t even talk shop. It was just two

friends catching up.”

Elgin was grinding his teeth with anger, “Fine, Letitia. I’ll make sure you can’t even be friends!”

She was startled, “Elgin, what are you…”

Storming over, Elgin grabbed Walden by the collar and promptly let his fist crash down on him, brutally

hard, causing blood to erupt from Walden’s nose.

He stumbled back several steps before he managed to steady himself.

“What right do you have to hit me?” Walden, cleaning the blood, said, “Elgin, since you married her,

you should cherish her!”

“If you know she’s my woman, you better get that out of your head!”

“But you don’t love her! Look at how you’re tormenting her!”

Elgin sneered, “That’s between her and me. When’s it your turn to butt in?”

“You can’t give her the love she deserves, then give her back to me,” Walden’s eyes were resolute,

“You don’t care about her, but I’ll treasure like gold.”

Letitia replied, “Let him go, and I’ll never meet him in private again!”

He gripped her wrist tightly and stepped on Walden’s chest.

Letitia turned to look at him.

The flickering streetlights cast a shadowy glow on his face, making him seem even colder.

She spoke softly, “Elgin, let’s have a proper chat, shall we?”
