Colt walked up to me and put his arms around me. “Everything will be okay. Sometimes, it

is okay to be selfish and worry about yourself. The one reason I am able to handle what I

have been is because I know

you are safe here. Are you happy here?”

I peaked around at Alec. “Mostly.”

Alec rolled his eyes. “Ice?” Colt pushed me in my side a little.

“Yes, I am happy.”

Colt pulled my face back towards him. “Do you feel safe?”
