Chapter 36 083% 11.10 Training was over, so Alpha Nick went to his office before Charlotte could catch up to him, eager to view the report. After reading it, disappointment strangled his throat.

"Luna Sheila Thorax, married to Alpha Nick Thorax six months ago. Parents deceased with no record of siblings." Alpha Nick's eyes darkened. If not for this report, he would have secretly followed her. How could there be nothing about her life before the marriage? He dialed the investigator's number.

"What is the meaning of what you just sent?" His anger burned. It was as if he had been scammed. The investigator, thinking he had done a good job before, was slightly taken aback.

"Alpha, that is all there is on her." "What about her birth date, pack, and the names of her parents?" Alpha Nick asked, feeling ashamed to have not checked those things before their marriage. How could he, when he was grieving Charlotte's disappearance? Sheila meant nothing to him and was just used to cover the shof his bride not turning up during the wedding. Also, Sheila was so into him that it made him consistently upset. The reason why he never cared about anything concerning her.

"We searched through the archives but there was nothing about her. Alpha Nick, since she's your wife, why don't you ask her?" The investigator asked politely, Alpha Nick could only blhimself as he tasted bitterness in his mouth.

"If I wanted to ask her, would I have told you to investigate her?" The investigator was speechless. How could he get that information when the Alpha himself could not get them from the woman who was his wife? At the luxury hotel, Sheila was feeling excited. "Tomorrow by this time, I will be officially free." She held up a glass of champagne, clicking it with Goldie's and sof the b*dyguards.

They were bored living in the hotel and not making themselves useful. The few times Sheila and Goldie went out, it was always without their presence and they were beginning to feel useless. At the Moonshine pack, they would be busy again and that, to them, meant being useful.

Sheila's gaze darkened instantly as she retorted. "He must or he will see the dark side of me." She suddenly recalled something and exclaimed, “Oh, no.” "What is the matter?" Goldie asked worriedly. Sheila was saddened.

"I wanted to see Ma'am yesterday but I completely forgot. I have to call her." Picking up her phone from the table, she quickly dialed the middle-aged woman's number. As soon as she dialed Athena's number, she answered it on the first ring.

"I thought you hate me. You cto the pack and didn't bother to look for me." Athena was speaking like a kid, Sheila felt both remorse and amusement.

"I'm so sorry ma'am. I just wanted to be away from Alpha Nick. How is your health?" She asked softly, Luna Athena sounded disturbed.

"The only thing missing in it is my heart." Sheila could not help being saddened by her confession, asking in feigned ignorance. "Ma'am, what is wrong with your heart?" "You took it with you," Athena responded jokingly, Sheila let out a sigh of relief, happy that the middle-aged woman did not have a heart attack as she had thought.

"You scaredbut I miss you so much." "I miss you more but I understand your decision. You have such a gentle soul to have cto calm the situation. I wanted him to suffer for it but you cwithout informing me," Athena revealed.

Sheila was so shocked that Athena had been planning to be savage towards her son. Still, she didn't regret her decision of going to calm the situation.

"I only want peace." "I know he'll regret it," Athena stated as a matter of fact. It was said that the moon goddess never made mistakes but she felt that the moon goddess had done it this time. Charlotte was undeserving of Alpha Nick.

Athena could not accept it and refused instantly. "He can only be happy with you." Sheila had lost hope in that, not wishing for it anymore. "No ma'am, he looks happier with Charlotte." "Very soon, we will know who is right. You, or me?” Athena asked rhetorically before ending the call. Sheila had mixed feelings but she had already removed Alpha Nick from her heart.

No matter what happened between him and Charlotte, she couldn't bring herself to care about any of it.

The next day, Sheila arrived at the parking lot of the court, looking excited. Letting go was a very great thing, as her heart felt lighter than ever before.

She merely stepped out of the car when Alpha Nick's car parked beside hers. "You cearly," he acknowledged when she stepped out of her car. His gaze lingered on her as he realized she had been wearing white a lot, except at the club where she wore a yellow dress.

"Tis precious. Shall we go in?" Sheila's expression was so cold, he felt unease in his heart.

She was already walking ahead before he caught up to her. She looked exceptionally beautiful this morning.

"Wow, look at this beautiful couple. They must be here to register their marriage," sonlookers commented when they saw the two walking close to each other.

"Can't you see they are headed to the divorce unit?" "Maybe they are meeting someone else there. They look so beautiful together so why get a divorce?" Their remarks bothered Alpha Nick as he worried Sheila would be offended but looking at her, there was Bluetooth in her ears and she seemed to be listening to music, humming along.

He smiled bitterly as she took her seat in front of the divorce attorney before Alpha Nick joined her. "Any properties to..." "I'm not taking anything. I just want to sign the papers," Sheila cut in. This was the first tthey both made it to the court and she didn't want anything to hold back the process.

When Alpha Nick opened his mouth, nothing would cout. The silence was condescending as the divorce attorney rephrased the question. "You are leaving her with nothing?" "No," Alpha Nick suddenly found his voice and spoke. Sheila felt uneasy as he opened his briefcase and brought out a new set of documents.
