Chapter 719 - A Helping Hand
Naze and Alina quietly entered the bedroom.
"What do you want to do with the dirt on him?" Alina asked him as she quietly pulled a mat from the corner of the room revealing a secret door to the basement.
"I have something to do with it." Naze didn't tell her about it.
"I agreed with you. But.." Alina suddenly stopped as they reached the basement. The next second she turned around with her hands on her waist, "What will I do if my plan fails because of you?"
"You are blackmailing me to give out the information to you or else you will cause trouble for me. In that case, what guarantee do you have that your actions after you receive thing you want would not lead to any trouble for me?"
"I need to know what you are going to do with this.."
"Why do you care about this plan so much? Aren't you unhappy with the Old b*stards of your Tribe? They send you here to punish you. But, do you think they would have done the same if it was someone else?" Naze asked with a smile.
Alina frowned, but she knew the answer as well.
She was just not someone respectful in the eyes of her Tribe.
"Even if what you say is true, it doesn't change a thing. If the plan fails, they would just get a reason to further downgrade me. Not to mention there isn't scarcity of people who want to get rid of me." Alina shook her head.
"Your goal is just a smaller part of the mission to take over Ocien, right?" Naze asked her with a calm look on his face.
Alina didn't deny it.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Your current goal is to control Patriarch Yule or should I say keep an eye on him?" Naze smiled, and this time Alina frowned. She had no idea how this guy was aware about all of it.
"But, do you think it is easy for you to do that? Don't you know that trying to bite someone else's piece of pie is not a good thing?" He further asked with a smile.
"What do you mean?" Alina asked in confusion.
"Oh…it seems you are not aware of this." Naze was initially surprised, but then realized that it made sense.
"About what?"
"Someone has already taken control of Patriarch Yule.." Naze explained.
"Is there another person sent by the Tribe? If that is true, why would they send me here as well?" She asked, a bit doubtful.
"To die obviously.." Naze calmly replied.
Alina's body froze for a second.
"The person whom I suspect to be the one taking charge of Patriarch Yule is most probably, Black Dahlia."
Alina's eyes immediately widened on hearing that, "Isn't she the one taking charge of the whole operation?"
"Yes, she is." Naze nodded, "So, now do you realize what you were trying to do?"
Black Dahlia.
People weren't aware about her appearance. But, they knew one thing. She was a vicious woman. One who would go to any lengths to achieve her goal. She was a member of Leyak Tribe, a Royal Blood.
But, she betrayed them to join the Heaven Tribe for power in exchange for Leyak Tribe's Heirloom. It was one of the few things that had the ability to revive the tribe, but it gone with this woman's betrayal.
Well, her decision made sense to people who didn't have concept of loyalty, Leyak Tribe was a sinking ship after all.
She had killed her own people for her motives. There was no way that such a person would allow anyone to take what was hers.
Right now, Alina was doing exactly that.
If that woman had Patriarch Yule in her control, then Alina was trying to snatch it away from her and that was not something that the other person would take sportingly.
Alina's Tribe had ordered her to do this. It must because they wanted to have a source of their own influence in this region, or they just wanted her to die under someone else's hand.
Alina was smart enough to understand which it was.
If they really wanted to snatch some control in this region, then sending some at Alina's level to stand up again that vicious woman was like trying to break a rock with an egg.
You were just asking for it..
Alina's face turned a bit pale now.
If what Naze had said was true then, she really had hit the dead end.
If she returned, her enemies back at her Tribe would surely be waiting for that opportunity. And, if she continued to persist that woman sure wouldn't let her go.

Alina raised her head to look at Naze who had offered her a helping hand. She looked at him, wondering what he was up to.
"Don't look at me like that. That person would be done showering anytime. As long as you allow me to get the thing I need, I will take care of this matter."
"How?" Alina wasn't willing to blindly believe him.
"I will get rid of this guy." Naze started with a calm demeanor. The latest_epi_sodes are on_the ɴovel(F)ɪre
"You think you are strong enough?"
"You don't need to worry about that." Naze shook his head, and his attitude only made Alina to believe him even if she didn't want to.
"But, if you kill him, then it would only help me in the short run.." Alina was quite clear on it.
If he killed Patriarch Yule, the Black Dahlia would probably shift her attention to the killer for the time being, and Alina might not come into her view. And, she could even try to bring the new leader of the Yule under her control.
But, what about when that vicious woman would turn her head back towards this place. It would just repeat all over, and Alina would be dead then.
"Don't worry, it won't go in that way." Naze had a confident look on his face.
"Do you know what you are saying.." Alina was not going to believe if he said that he had the ability to deal with Black Dahlia.
"You don't have any option right now. So, how about you try this for the short run."
Naze was right, she didn't have the option right now.
In the end she could only grit her teeth in frustration and let the guy onto the things kept hidden in the basement.
