Chapter 162
Paisley felt that Vivian's mood was off, but she didn't pursue it further. She carried Serena and walked out of the
crowd to their corner to grab her phone.
Isabella quickly followed. "Mrs. Morgan, keep an eye on her, don't let her run off."
Paisley shot a sideways glance at Isabella and then asked Vivian, "What's the retail price of this wine?" Vivian
laughed, "Ms. Sutton, are you okay? Are you really that clueless, or are you just pretending? Do you know the
value of this bottle? You're asking about the retail price? If we're going by retail price, you couldn't even afford an
empty bottle."
Paisley knew about Cloud Crest Reserve's market markup, but this wasn't something she could control. "Alright,
then how much is it?"
"200 grand," Vivian said directly, confident that Paisley wouldn't have 200 grand. She was determined to
humiliate this woman and make her beg for mercy.
Paisley frowned, "200 grand?"
That was over ten times, a bit much. Looked like she needed to talk to Lucy about this. The market markup was
getting too much, and it was not good for the brand.
She wasn't directly in charge of the winery's operations. That was handled by a professional manager Lucy hired.

Vivian sneered, "Don't have it? Well, you could always-" Just as she finished speaking, Vivian's phone made a
loud notification sound for a payment.
"Your account received 200 grand." The sound was so loud that nearly everyone in the room heard it. Before
Vivian could finish her sentence, she froze. She quickly grabbed her phone to check, and to her shock, she had
indeed received 200 grand from Paisley.
"How...?" Vivian couldn't get a word out.
Isabella and the other parents were also stunned, not expecting Paisley to transfer the 200 grand so easily,
without even bargaining.
"Well, impressive," Isabella muttered jealously after the shock wore off. "I wonder where that money cfrom."
At this point, Paisley wasn't interested in dealing with Vivian. She was more concerned about Serena, feeling that
something was off with her.
And it definitely wasn't because of the bottle of wine. Serena had always been raised with abundance, and she
had no concept of money or valuable items. That was the confidence Paisley gave her.
Paisley knew that a broken bottle of wine alone wouldn't make Serena cry. But no matter how she asked, Serena
wouldn't speak. She just pursed her lips, tears rolling down her cheeks like silver beads. "What's going on here?"
A man's furious voice suddenly rang out.
Paisley looked up and was surprised to see the disgusting man who had just given her his business card at the
shared sink.
Vivian quickly stood up to greet him. "Honey!"
Paisley raised an eyebrow. So this jerk was Millie's father, the so-called handsand family-oriented man
everyone admired.
Nate pointed at the broken bottle of wine on the ground, his face contorted with anger. "I'm asking you, what
happened here?"
It was clear that he was deeply pained by the loss of the wine. He furiously questioned Vivian, his voice filled
with emotion. "Didn't you say you were just bringing it here to show them? Why is it broken?" Vivian looked
embarrassed and lowered her voice as she tried to explain to her husband. "I'm sorry, honey. | didn't expect this
to happen." Then she pointed at Paisley. "It was that child who broke it." Nate followed her finger and saw Paisley
sitting nearby. For a moment, his expression turned awkward. That brief awkwardness didn't escape Vivian's
notice, and her gaze toward Paisley grew colder. Nate had been somewhat interested in Paisley earlier, but now
that he saw she had a child with her, his interest diminished significantly. And now that her child had broken his
precious wine, his anger only intensified.
Kevin tried to mediate again. "Mr. Morgan, please don't be upset. Ms. Sutton has already compensated you with
200 grand."
A regular worker would have to work for years to make that much money.

He thought this would calm Nate down, but to everyone's surprise, it only made him angrier. "200 grand? A mere
200 grand for my bottle of wine?"
He glared furiously at Vivian, his usual gentle demeanor nowhere to be seen. "Do you even know that this wine
was meant as a gift? Now that it's ruined, how am | supposed to present it?"
Vivian hadn't thought that far ahead. She had only brought it to show off, not realizing it was intended as a gift.
"I-" Flustered, she turned to Paisley with a glare. "Ms. Sutton, what are you going to do about this?" Paisley,
irritated by all the noise, sighed. "Enough. Stop arguing. I'll replace the bottle for you."
Nate laughed coldly in anger. "Replace it? Bold of you to say! Go ahead, I'd like to see how you'll replace it with
an identical bottle!"
Paisley calmly called Lucy and sent her the address, asking her to deliver a replacement bottle as quickly as
possible.
Meanwhile, inside a private room, Max overheard the commotion outside. "What's going on out there?" "I'll go
check," said Leo.
Moments later, Leo returned. "Max, it's the neighbor who saved you last time. It seems she's in strouble."
"What kind of trouble?" Max asked.
"It seems her daughter accidentally broke a bottle of Cloud Crest Reserve," Leo explained.
Max nodded. "We should have that wine. Arrange for someone to fetch a bottle."
