Chapter 117
Dr. Dylan’s ride pulled up outside the Flanagan family’s mansion. He hopped out of the car with Allison,
ready to see her to the door, when Christopher’s car rolled up.
Christopher got out, flashing a smile at Dr. Dylan. “Dr. Dylan.”
Dr. Dylan responded politely, “Mr. Flanagan”
“Why don’t you come in and chill for a bit.”
Inside the Flanagan living room.
Christopher took a good look at Dr. Dylan, growing more and more pleased with what he saw.
He was relieved that Allison had such a great guy in her life.
“Allison mentioned you’re Grace’s main doc, Christopher said, his expression turning complicated at
the mention of Grace.
That’s right, I’ve been overseeing her treatment while she’s been in the hospital.”

“Grace’s condition is stable for now”
Dr. Dylan looked a bit surprised, but quickly figured Allison hadn’t told Christopher about Grace’s
kidney transplant.
“Well, that’s a relief.” Christopher seemed to relax considerably.
He’d always felt guilty about Joshua, and Grace too.
He knew he’d let Grace down.
For various reasons, he hadn’t had a chance to visit her.
“I hope you’ll continue to keep an eye on Grace.”
Leah was about to head downstairs when she overheard this. Her face turned sour immediately.
Christopher still couldn’t forget about Grace!
Over twenty years of this drama with Grace, it was high time to put an end to it!
On a relentlessly rainy day
Mercy Grove Hospital, 6th floor.
Four burly bodyguards stood in front of room 611. When they saw Leah strutting over in her high heels,
they greeted in unison, “Mrs. Flanagan.”
Grace had been staying here after her kidney transplant. Leah had never visited her before. This was
her first time.
At that moment, Grace was sitting by the window, staring blankly at the drizzle outside.
Suddenly, she heard the door creak open.
Grace’s heart fluttered, hoping it was Allison, but she quickly realized Allison only came once a week
on schedule.
She turned to see Leah.
Grace was a bit taken aback, but quickly composed herself. “Mrs. Flanagan

Leah looked around the room as she spoke, “it’s been a long time, Grace,” she paused, “my dear
sister.”
Grace kept a poker face. “Mrs. Flanagan, what brings you here?”
Leah had never visited since she was hospitalized.
“Are you disappointed to see me?” Leah snapped, “Don’t think for a second I don’t know what you’re up
to! Christopher’s not going to come visit you!”
Grace retorted instantly, “That was a misunderstanding, I have nothing to do with Mr. Flanagan.”
“You dare to deny it? You were so close with Christopher back then. I was getting ready to marry
Christopher, but you were still seducing him!” Leah’s features twisted with the memory
Leah and Grace were cousins.
They had both met Christopher in college.
Back then, Grace was stunning, with tons of guys chasing her. But she fell for Christopher, who was
also interested in her, and they started dating
But then, Grate’s family went bankrupt abruptly. Grace had no heart for romance, her focus was on
helping her family through the crisis. Eventually, her family moved to Cloudville.
And she didn’t even finish college.
