In the dimly lit Eagle's Nest Bar, Joshua was nowhere to be seen. Instead, it was Reginald who stormed in with a few cronies in tow. Without a moment's hesitation, he aggressively confronted the bar manager barking, "Where's that little tramp Susan?" To think his father, Joshua, had him running errands to deal with sfloozy.
The big corporate decisions? Out of his reach. Joshua even cclose to handing over the entire empire to his son-in-law, Lysander! It was as if he was completely written off as Joshua's son! It beccrystal clear to Reginald that the Whitman family fortune was never meant to be his. Yet, here he was, dealing with his father's trivial messes! Fury boiled within Reginald.
The manager knew of Susan, thanks to Lysander's explicit instructions before he left. "The woman in the private booth is Susan," he had said. Intimidated by Reginald's menacing aura, the manager pointed towards the booth in a panic.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtReginald didn't even bother with a thank you. He just glared at the manager and stormed towards the booth. Finding the booth door shut, Reginald's patience snapped. He kicked the door open with a resounding thud. Susan had been propping herself up on the couch, desperately trying to keep her neck from any further injury, maintaining the sposition until her arms nearly froze.
Her arms were trembling, clinging to the hope that Joshua would arrive soon. "Just a little longer," she thought, pushing herself to endure.
The sudden crash of the door being kicked open sent Susan into shock; her hands gave way, and she collapsed onto the couch.
Especially her neck, landing harshly against the couch, pain so intense it nearly sent her soul flying.
"Ah, help me, I'm dying!" Susan screamed in terror, a sound so heart-wrenchingly pitiful.
Reginald, seeing Susan, was reminded of his father's disregard for him.
Fuming and finding no other outlet for his rage, he targeted Susan, the "little tramp." He marched over, grabbed her by the collar, and yanked her up from the couch, seething, "What's your da with dad? Why's he so concerned about you?" Susan's neck twisted painfully under his grip, the agony shooting through her nerves made her gasp for air, too pained to even scream.
She inhaled sharply, her face turning ghostly pale as her body stiffened, immobile.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmReginald, mistaking her silence for disdain, grew even more enraged He threw her back onto the couch, pointing at her and bellowing, "I'm talking to you! Did you not bear me?" Susan crashed onto the couch once more, her neck pain so severe she felt like she was on death's doorstep.
Seeing Reginald storming towards her again, she knew if she didn'tm speak up, it might very well be the end of her. Barely able to endure the pain, she blurted out, "I'm your dad's mistress!"
Her admission stopped Reginald in his tracks, his steps halting as hen stared at at her in disbelief and anger. "What did you say?" He couldn't have heard that right. This woman just claimed to be his dad's mistress! Wasn't Thalassa the only secret child his dad had?
Pain causing her chest to heave, Susan looked earnestly at Reginald and repeated, "I'm your father's me, call woman. If you don't believe him and ask!" X
