Ethan hurriedly carried a glass of water towards the room.
Before he could get there, he saw Angelina putting her child down and forcefully pushing Lydia out of the room, her voice sharp as she yelled, "Are you trying to murder my son? You murderer, get out of his room! Georgia, call the cops, don't let this killer escape!" Alaric, on the verge of jumping out of bed in his agitation, snapped, "Mom, she's the doctor I hired, she's here to save my life, what are you doing!" Georgia retorted, breathless with anger, "Alaric, have you lost your mind over a new fling? She's covered you in needles, it's like sextrsport to you, nearly costing you your life, and yet you defend her!" As she spoke, Georgia was frantically dialing on her phone.
Alaric, propping himself up, grabbed the phone from Georgia's hand, coughing violently, "I told you, she's my doctor, treating me! The ones who need to leave are you!" Angelina, who had been pushing Lydia, stopped dead in her tracks at Alaric's words, turning to him in disbelief, "What did you say! You're actually tellingto leave?" Out of breath, Angelina turned, picked up her child, and walked up to Alaric, placing the child in front of him, "Look, we call this way to see you, and you can't appreciate our concern, even telling us to leave. What sort of son, what sort of father does that make you?" Alaric, drained, closed his eyes and took a deep breath, his body and spirit weary. When he opened his eyes again, they were filled with a world-weariness, "Do you really want to be the death of me?" "What did you say?" Angelina was hurt by his words.

Angelina, holding her child tighter, felt a pang in her heart, "Alaric, are you really that sick? Why didn't you call me, why didn't you go to the hospital?" Angelina had only ever been concerned about his future, never his health.
Now hearing about Alaric's fever, something inside her broke.
As she approached Alaric, trying to feel his forehead, he dodged her.
"I don't need your concern, staying away fromis the best thing you can do," Alaric said weakly.
"What did you say?" Angelina was in disbelief, her face a picture of incredulity.
Alaric slumped back onto the bed, refusing to say more.
Seeing this, Georgia stepped forward, "Alaric, we really do care about you..." Lydia, arms crossed, standing by the door, interjected, "If you truly cared, you wouldn't have left him alone with a fever for over a day and night. Had we been any later, he might have died alone in this room." "What did you say?" Angelina turned to Lydia, incredulous.
