In the meantime, Zachary and Rory sat on the soft couch in the living room of the Moore residence. They did not

play around happily like they used to do.

At that moment, the two children were looking very gloomy.

The expression on their faces was one usually worn by an adult. Somehow, it looked funny when it was on the faces

of the two young children.

Turning to Zachary, Rory said sullenly, “Zach, even though our house is much bigger than Ms. Ery's house, I don't

even feel happy. I still want to stay with Ms. Ery.”

After considering the unique relationship she had with Cayden, Avery informed the two children in advance that

they were only allowed to call her “Mommy” in private. However, when they were in public, they had to call her

“Ms. Ery.”

The two children did not understand it. The only thing that they knew was that Avery was their mother. Though they

could not find the reason for her insistence to be called “Ms. Ery” in public, they listened to her nonetheless. It was

an instruction that they firmly bore in mind.

Zachary sat on the couch and took a deep breath like a young adult. Then, he shrugged helplessly and said, “I want

to live with Ms. Ery as well. But the problem is, Daddy is too stupid. He can't even win her heart yet. If they get

married, we can stay with her every day.”

Upon hearing his words, Rory widened her eyes in delight. “Is that true? Zach, if that is the case, let's help Daddy to

win her heart.”

Zachary said, “But we need to think of a plan. Well, we can ask Uncle Kendrick. He always has all sorts of women

with him. Everyone says that he's a womanizer, so he must be experienced in pursuing a woman.”

Rory then asked, “Zach, what is a womanizer?”

Zachary thought about it for a while. He was slightly frustrated with finding the right words to explain it to Rory.

Therefore, he said casually, “Womanizers are men who like to catch butterflies. You know that Uncle Kendrick likes

Zachary was rendered speechless.

On the other hand, a housekeeper, who was picking up the toys next to them, could not stop herself from snorting

in laughter as she heard their innocent conversation.

“Lillemor, why are you laughing? Did I say something wrong?” The young girl looked at her with bright eyes.

On the other hand, Zachary turned to gaze at the housekeeper with a stern expression. He looked exactly like a

miniature Cayden. Thus, even though he was still young, he had a steely gaze. It caused a chill to run down the

housekeeper's spine.

“It's nothing. Ms. Rory, Mr. Zachary, what fruit do you want to eat tonight? I'll prepare them for you.” She quickly

changed the topic.

In her babyish voice, Rory said, “I don't want to eat anything. I just want Ms. Ery.”

As she spoke, her eyes turned red and welled up with tears. Zachary held Rory's hand tightly and did not know how

to comfort her. As a matter of fact, he shared the same thought as her. He also wanted to stay with Avery every

day.

The housekeeper was at a loss for words.

Avery's presence in the Moore family was like a thorn in the flesh. After all, she was in a very awkward position. Allie

hated her very much, and even Jeffrey, who once approved of Avery, resented her now. In the meantime, Lily only

gloated over her predicament.

The only people who can accept her are Mr. Cayden and the two young children.

At that moment, Jeffrey walked down the staircase with the help of a walking stick.

After all, the two children shared Cayden's bloodline, especially Zachary, who was very much like him. Even

Zachary's personality was very similar to his father's. He had been a smart kid since he was young. Rory, on the

other hand, was very sweet and beautiful. Even though she was slightly timid, she was good at coaxing other

people and buttering them up.

Furthermore, the two children were obedient and always made him laugh. It was not a surprise that he liked them

The moment he saw their sullen expressions, Jeffrey quickly asked them, “Tell me, my dear great-grandchildren. Did

anyone bully you?”

Zachary looked up at Jeffrey with much anticipation and begged, “Great-grandpa, I miss Ms. Ery. Can you allow her

to stay in our house?”

Meanwhile, Rory hugged Jeffrey's leg and acted coquettishly. “Great-grandpa, Ms. Ery is an excellent cook. If you

don't believe me, you can ask her to cook for you when she comes over to our house.”

Jeffrey's expression changed instantaneously. “Both of you need to stay clear of Avery in the future. It's impossible

for her to be with your father. Later on, you will have a new mother. Do you understand?”

As an elderly man, he was stubborn and conservative. Thus, someone like him regarded good status and reputation

very highly.

Avery was the daughter-in-law of the Musk family. Meanwhile, the Moore family was closely connected to them.

Putting aside the fact that she was still not divorced from Dylan, he would not let a divorcee be part of the Moore

family even after she had gotten her divorce.

Cayden was the grandson he had always been proud of. Therefore, he did not want Cayden to be censured behind

the back.

If Avery and Dylan's marriage was not known to the public, he might be able to accept her, albeit reluctantly.

Jeffrey would always have a grim expression when he was angry. On top of that, he had mentioned to the young

children that they were going to have a new mother. Unable to accept it, Rory cried loudly. As she did so, she

insisted that she did not want another woman to become her mother. Then, she jumped off the couch and ran

upstairs.

Zachary glanced at Jeffrey.

For the first time ever, the small young boy looked at Jeffrey with a hint of resentment. Then, the former quickly ran

to find Rory.

While Jeffrey was looking at their retreating backs, his hand holding the walking stick trembled slightly. Then, he

gave a heavy sigh.

Meanwhile, the night had set in. Even though it was raining outside and the weather was very cold, the atmosphere

inside a club in the city was still very lively.

Inside a premium VIP room, Aaron did everything that he wanted with Nina like she was just a toy to him. At that

moment, she was nearly completely naked.

He chose to ignore the hatred in her eyes.
