Tranquil Bay Park was a secluded gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Except for weekends and public holidays,
it was rarely crowded.
Skyler arrived at the island in the middle of the lake by boat and took a seat in the gazebo, waiting for his brother.
Whether Geoffrey would show up this twas anybody's guess.
Across the lake, a lanky figure appeared, his face hidden behind a baseball cap and a face mask.
A few minutes by boat later, he arrived at the island. Skyler's gaze was locked on him the entire time, noting the similarity in
stature to Geoffrey.
The man walked onto the island and sat down across from him. He removed his mask, revealing a face almost identical to Skyler's.
"Skyler, it's been a while," he said.
Skyler's eyes were wide and unblinking as he stared. "Let's not jump to conclusions. How do | know you're Geoffrey?"
"Who else could be your spitting image?" the man retorted.

Skyler picked up a case next to him, placed it on the table, and pulled out a device.
"This is my lie detector, the Eye of Truth. You'll have to pass its test to prove you're not lying."
A muscle twitched on the man's face. So, this was the legendary Eye of Truth.
"As if sgadget could outsmart me."
"This is the world's most advanced portable lie detector. There's not a single lie that can escape its scrutiny," Skyler said with a
cunning smile. "You're not afraid to test it, are you?"
The man snorted. "What do | have to fear?"
"Then place your hand on the table, and letset up the device," Skyler instructed.
The man slowly extended his hand from his pocket, secretly clutching a tiny vial.
As Skyler was distracted, he sprayed the contents toward Skyler's face.
Skyler couldn't react in time, his expression froze, and his eyes stopped moving.
The man smirked, "Kid, you really thought you could outwit me?" He had sprayed Truth Serum, and its victims were compelled to
answer any question truthfully.
"Now tell me, where's Tanya?"
Skyler replied mechanically, spelling out each word as if a typewriter. "She's on MNGB Island in the Caribbean, coordinates are
longitude one twenty-five, latitude ninety-six."
The man smugly noted the details and then drew a knife from his belt.
"You've always opposed AK Group, siding with strangers against your brother. It's tto clean house. You're about to meet your
maker."
He raised the knife to strike Skyler, but suddenly the knife burst into flames, burning so fiercely that he howled in pain and dropped
it.
The gazebo, too, seemed to catch fire.
Skyler vanished amidst the flames.

Panicked, the man leaped into the lake. But the water itself seemed ablaze, engulfing the man in a fiery prison. His eyes bulged
with terror as he flailed and screamed for help.
"I'm burning, somebody save me!" Pain seared through him, feeling as if his entire being was turning to ash. "Help me!"
As the man's mask slipped off in the water, his true face was revealed. He was not Geoffrey at all.
A group of figures in black dived into the water and dragged him out.
Skyler approached and snapped his fingers. All the flames vanished, and calm returned.
There had been no fire. It was all a hypnotic illusion crafted by Skyler.
"Kid, you thought you could play me? Your Truth Serum doesn't work on someone who's already taken the antidote." Skyler had
prepared himself well before the encounter.
Geoffrey had crossed the line with another dirty trick, and Skyler knew that his trust was forever broken.
Geoffrey was nothing but a con artist, a master of deceit.
